Interesting that the Herald has what John Key might do on the front page, and what Helen Clark actually has done, winning a UN award as a Champion of the World, consigned to the brevities section.
No wonder the Herald has to advertise on TV to try and retain its flagging readership.

Just to get the facts right here, the Queen St upgrade is largely paid for by the special rate paid by CBD businesses. They have the equivalent of a Mainstreet scheme where they pay a special rate for upgrading work in the Heart of the City area.
This is their upgrade, they wanted it, they are paying for it.
