  • Legal Beagle: Think it possible that you…,

It was quite a process, it began before they even received Giovanni’s email, and people there felt quite strongly about taking a stand.

Here’s something I think is salient which has been pretty overlooked. Comms teams are often teams of women.

Women who had been talking about roast busters before the RL interview. Women who were appalled when they listened to the interview, and appalled again when informed by colleagues that their own company was running ads on the show. Who talked sarcastically about calling in to tell W&JT what they thought of them. And then thought, huh, what if consumers actually think we condone this? We should pull our ads. Then Giovanni’s email turns up...

  • Hard News: The Next Act,

Not officially, but he advanced New Zealand’s understanding of AIDS substantially, and was involved with Paralympics.

Yes officially: he was patron of the Paralympics and they clearly believe he did them a lot of good.

Russell, by way of consolation I have been pleased to shop at Felt a number of times.

  • Hard News: High anxiety, live, in reply to Peter Calder,

    + 1.

I’ve been to a couple of the NT filmed productions and have found each one sensational.

Most of the small crowd yesterday were over 60.

True, but we took Mr 13 who entered the theatre under a heavy aura of resentment and left giving Curious Incident a 7/10, which is about as good as it gets for non-fps entertainment.

  • Capture: Dogs Love Cameras Too, in reply to Danielle,

Excellent ears. I love that they shake from the front back so the aft and tail can still be shaking while the fore has relaunched.

We have a Newf called Bosun.

Our vet goes in for dress ups. Bosun really likes our vet. So here he is dressed as Nonu for the RWC. I’m not suggesting there’s any dignity in it, mind… just that it amuses us. And Bosun liked it. There were biscuits.

Aucklanders keen for cinnamon bark can get it delivered free – along with everything else you need in the way of Indian comestibles – from spiceneasy.

The butcher at the La Cigale market deserves a shout out - Jamie from Te Kainga Meats. I do like it when a farmer tells you this Saturday’s lamb shoulder last frolicked on the fields on Thursday.

And the Italian signora makes really great mozzarella and ricotta. Different from the Clevedon buffalo. But good.

Manono Island is well worth it

    +1.
Untouched Manono was the highlight of my two trips. And the hunt for the pyramid on Savaii was great fun.

    That's option A. It's the 2007 valuation, that's the rub.

But there's a mechanism (unspecified) for reviewing the valuation if it doesn't stack up.
