  • Up Front: Your Whining Is Important to Us,

I imagine that David's biding his time. He seems like a thinker when it comes these kind of projects.

Back when I was filling in briefly as his secretary, I checked his wall planner, and there's definitely a plot afoot.

  • Up Front: Your Whining Is Important to Us,

Very much a mental "Oh hell, have I been talking about anything embarassing recently?" moment.

My Twitter feed is locked, and my rule is I have to have met you in real life, or have had a long relationship with you on the internet, for you to follow me. That's mostly for work reasons, but also because Twitter has become the only place online I can still be appropriate. I'm much more open there than I am anywhere else. Sort of.

I have so much family following me on Facebook now, that my rule is "would I want my mum to see this?"

  • Field Theory: The Wonder Years,

We have a list. It has those things on it. If anyone can help fill in the gap between them and "...PROFIT!" that would be handy.

    lolz.

  • Field Theory: The Wonder Years,

He once came in as the no 11 batsman and flayed it to all corners of the ground in a match against England, I think, but we still lost.

Ok, good to know I'm kind of half right. :)

The other thing in his favour is that he’s not as embedded as the rest of them. How can Craig McMillan, Kiwi Harris, and Kyle Mills possible be objective?

Meh, I don't require all my commentators, especially in cricket, where they have a lot of time to fill, to be unbiased. Articulate and interesting would be nice though.

  • Field Theory: The Wonder Years,

Ok, wait. I'm not sure this is what I am talking about (who the hell even knows anymore) but here he is taking a T20 to a draw with a boundary off the last ball.

  • Field Theory: The Wonder Years,

Also: Johnson's hair. Someone needs to stage an intervention.

There is some seriously bad hair in the Aussie team. (cough Bollinger cough).

When? I recall him hitting the odd boundary but not taking us home in a situation remotely as tense as last night's.

Damn. I knew someone was going to ask me that. (I should have known it'd be you.) I have a recollection of it happening at Wellington, but I can't really tell you much more. (Not blessed with the kind of brain that remembers every sporting thing ever.)

And no, not quite like last night, but he's definitely been there in the dying stages, and held up his end. As it were.

I've had a quick look at his stats, but I can't find the innings of which I speak. Where is my intern when I need one? Hadyn, can I borrow Naly?

  • Field Theory: The Wonder Years,

If I tweeted everytime Ian Smith annoyed me, I wouldn't get to watch the game. He shits me at an astonishingly high level.

You can't do two things at once?

I don't get why Southee keeps getting to go ahead of him, he's only had 1 good innings.

I haven't seen enough of Southee's innings to be able to tell, but in fairness, it's not like Bond is going out there and hitting beautiful shots.
He gets out there and hits the ball cos he has to, and he's not scared.

  • Field Theory: The Wonder Years,

Incidentally, I got a bit annoyed (enough to tweet it) at Ian Smith calling Bond an 'unlikely hero'. Aside from the, you know, bowling he has done that with the bat before.

  • Field Theory: The Wonder Years,

I'm with Megan, I loved last night's game too. Bond hitting two boundaries at the end just meant poor Mr Monster has to put up with me fawning over him even more.

careful, I'll fight you for him.

I will admit, that when Taylor went out, I thought the game was over. In fact, when Franklin came in at #5, I thought the game was over.

  • Field Theory: The Wonder Years,

Oh, the Young Guns, they were teh awesome. (my first - of many - cricket crush was Gavin Larsen).

I loved last night's game. It completely rekindled my love for cricket, which had been a little on the wane.

But it was so exciting, so tense, so many changes in who was in front.

And is it just me, or has the commentary gotten even MORE double-entendre laden?
