Hard News: Didn't see that coming, in reply to
Then again, I’ve always thought Gower a bit of a prat and yet his flying visit to Oravida was brilliant stuff…
He's grown up quite a bit this year. As with anything good ,it takes time. He can be pushy but he does get a few wins and in years to come, I may think he has got there. Gotta say I'm not that impressed with TV reporters. Fisher is a good journo in print. I like Manhire, (?) I see the TV ones as necessary. So for now... Gower is young. I wish him luck.

Sofie, I don’t agree
I know the media will want his comment and he may have learnt that it's best to say something before he goes home but sometimes (like Corkery) things just go astray and the IMP seem to be on the defence about everything they do so I guess it's a learning curve for him and a reminder for her. Although, aren't we supposed to see something different with this Party and do they have to play by the "rules" ? I've always seen Hone as a bit contentious. I kinda expect to see IMP as a bit contentious too. Still, they have made headlines every Monday morning for a while now. Must be pissing National off that they are getting all the attention.

but does the media have every reason to seek comment from him.
Did they interview any of the performers or Hone or Sykes or Hone's well known son or.....any one else that got up on stage? Key may be a cult of personality to his minnions but IMP are portraying a new party . That they have speakers seen as part of the launch, yes, but should KDC be the only part of the launch, I think not. It's the media who wants to make it only about him. JMO

Also, I could see at a glance she was at her last tether with them and it was a short sharp shove but I thought she pulled up quickly so didn’t think it was too bad. I knew though it was going to get played out immediately. The media watching would be loving it. Their antagonism is not actually acceptable. I would have exploded myself. Have to admit though. Harre is front and centre every Monday and as they say… There's no such thing as bad publicity. I think anyone interested in IMP know they aren’t conservative. The odd explosion or swear word wont scare them off. Doesn’t change my opinion of them. I like that they want to challenge our system. Might give them my Party vote.

Hard News: Never mind the quality ..., in reply to
that he was sentenced to two-and-half-years in jail on fire arms charges.
Nothing to see. He did his time for the disgusting Tuhoe raids with possession of guns unlicensed and consequently he is perfectly able to stand for Parliament. Just as it was nothing to do with KDC that a shareholder of Mega has had assets seized (so far with no charges) .The insinuations were just too good for TV3 though.
