What David and Karren may be looking for is some alleviation of the pain and suffering and that is a different issue altogether. It is hard to take a partner in pain, I too know.
Yep.
It's me asking the question, though. What Karren will make of this, I have yet to see.
-
they also had 'Song Remains the Same'
Don't you reckon the added dimension of pictures (John Bonham being a country squire) made Moby Dick even more boring? The rest of it (for viewing context, see the post that starts this thread) was pretty exciting for a country boy like me.

at the risk of being shouted at again
Heh. Thanks for that. Hell: at this point, what's to lose?
-
I might as well ask.
Karren has been on a heavy diet of assorted pain relief up to and including Tramadol for the past few months. Her problem is Frozen Shoulder. Both of them. She's getting regular physio, doctor and specialist treatment, including two rounds of cortisone injections. She's less than thrilled at the prospect of the recovery taking months at least and perhaps a year or more. Does anyone have any useful advice to offer? -
How about Jerry Jeff? Got any of him?
I FEEL LIKE HANK WILLIAMS TONIGHT
Well, I could live my whole life, without a phone call
The likes of which I got today.
It was only my wife, said “hello” then “goodbye”.
And told me she's going away.Well I didn't cry, It was all cut and dried.
I hung up before I realized.
Turned up my stereo, I walked to the window,
Stared at the storm clouds outside.Chorus:
And I play classical music when it rains,
I play country when I am in pain.
But I won't play Beethoven, the mood's just not right –
Oh, I feel like Hank Williams tonight. There's no explanation, not even a reason,
No talk of the good times we had.
Was it me, was it her, I don't know for sure,
And that's why I'm feelling so bad.Chorus:
Hey, I play jazz when I am coufused,
I play country whenveer I lose.
Bird's saxaphone, it just don't seem right
Now, I feel like Hank Williams toight.Lately I've been thinkin', I just might quit drinkin'.
Now I don't know all-in-all.
I just might stay home, get drunk all alone,
And punch a few holes in the wall.Chorus:
But when I'm rel high I plyay rock'n'roll,
I play country when I'm losing control.
I don't play Chuck Berry quite as much as I'd like,
Now, I feel like Hank Williams tonight. -
I'm thinking of taking some popcorn along on Thursday morning. Here are two more to add to the Stephen Cook tapestry:
-
My bad, Danielle. Here, have a box!
Of course, if Keith Moon had been a bit less keen on general badassery, he might still be with us.
-
I don't know, Rob, that's still a lot of whimsy to take on board first thing in the morning. A chocolate fish to Danielle if she can watch the whole thing through.

Debating with you usually seems pointless, Craig, but I can't ignore your 'sneer'. He's a friend, I value his opinion and I think it's a pretty weak argument in the face of the evidence to describe his work as either small minded or smug.

It's conceivable that we could partly blame Paul McCartney, too, with all that music hall vaudevillian stuff. But Paul gets enough blame for things as it is. :) )
I've been thinking about all of the people who went into a studio with Paul who are no longer with us. Off the top of my head: John, Linda, George, Billy, Denny, Michael. And he never ages. Could there be some kind of deadly Dorian Grey thing going on here?
