  • Field Theory: Sunday Bloody Sunday Newspaper,

Cricket was a game designed by landowners who employed their garderners & game keepers to play with them for a week and fill in their time on this earth - Gentlemen & Players distinction. All of this to facilitate gambling. (I disagree with Len Richardsons theory cricket was a game of the people adopted by the rich due to the length of time needed to play it).

3-Day eventing and the modern development of Motor Sport fit this as well. The time taken is more than a working person has to spare and as such cross over from what could be considered a sport into an event or game. Professional Players are just Players or employees as in Cricket.

The Mexican stall holders in Tijuana can pick a Kiwi accent pretty quickly and with a smile you will happily buy from their stall.

First strip show I ever saw was Othello and the dear Desdemona changing infront of us, greasy youth.

Nothing quite like quoting Homer in an essay at Uni, Homer Simpson that is. Pure joy.

Andrew there were never threats of violence at my school. Canning might have been outlawed but tennis balls were always handy - not Dunedin either.

  • Hard News: Through the Looking Glass,

Paul "the oldest and grandest building on campus wasn't the VC's office and admin,"

Sadly they kept just the facade and slapped a tilt-slab construction onto the Library. Just how much tilt to slab is interesting. As I've said before - stand at the top of the spiral stairs with your eyes closed - it is on a wicked angle.

The other grand building of Oamaru Stone & red brick was demolished earlier this year.

  • Hard News: Through the Looking Glass,

Good News - as of 3pm today on the way back from the beach (it was very flat and the tide was out - shud've check the webcam)

ACT still has its Tolerence Bill Board out on Pages Rd Christchurch.

Two with the correct spelling a one without, what was that Meatloaf said?

Damn my cell phone camera and its lack of a zoom. There is a shot I tried to get of two of the signs the larger Tolerence and the smaller tolerance, but it didn't come out well.

The problem with Lincoln (setting aside Dairy for a moment) is the ESOL, Computor Science, & Business School.

Rodders & Lincoln are clear examples of the failure of our 'competitive' tertiary education system.

One NZ University and direct the marketing budget to the Library.

  • Hard News: Real Gone,

NZFirst & Winston are far more in this vein.

Winston was once in the Hi Five of Rob Mob and now has become a tacky Benidorm act for retiring Poms and being The Mad Maori.

Rodney was a University Lecturer at Lincoln (yes it is although I'm not sure that it should be a Uni) in economics.

  • Hard News: Through the Looking Glass,

Labour needs to axe it's 1/3 buy in to first home buyers. That is for the 3 people who qualify for it.

It's just proping up the over inflated property market.

Property prices have sky rocketed and now they're going to level out a bit, not crash. This false market that Labour has brought in, raises the property price by 1/3 over the real market price.
