The games are for the fostering of peace and love.
Bastard! I've been sitting on that one for months now, waiting for the right occasion (which may have never come).
We gots to join together. Let a Laughter fill the air. Ect.
My beef with the coverage is that on MySky, the entire fday's footage is counted as 1 programme - I went to tape the rowing for the rower in the family, from the beginning of the race, yesterday & it told me I didn't have enough free disk. I had something like 25% free.
The other thing is, I keep thinking back to when I lived in the Uk - some 30 years ago, there seemed to be 3 or 4 channels showing nothing but olympics, something different on every one.

Quinn was *awful* at the opening ceremony. I can't count the number of times I yelled 'shut UP, you moron!
Don't the media get some sort of briefing for what diverse parts of the opening ceremony represents?
If so, Quin obviously didn't bother reading it. Thank goodness they had that knowledgable woman on hand to explain things (to some extent).

I'd suggest one improvement to MMP would be abolish dual voting, so one's party vote went to the party of the chosen electorate candidate.
Ugh... think Peter Dunne & United Future.

Bloody cow. Didn't speak to her for a week after that.
And I see you haven't forgotten!

Why do you all dislike psychics so much? What have you got to hide? ;-)
Reminds me of when I was student flatting - I answered a phone call from a clairvoyant who was ringing to berate my flatmate for missing an appointment.
I asked the clairvoyant how come she didn't know my flatmate wasn't going to turn up, and even why she had to make an appointment in the first place - couldn't the clairvoyant tell when someone was coming to visit & call them up if that time didn't suit.
The call turned nasty after that.

Wow - I thought the Lockwood people sorted all that for you?
it took me about 4 days to get a building consent for a car deck, but about 18 months to build it... which was down to the architect getting some measurements wrong, the slope providing an additional engineering challenge & the fact the builder missed his window of opportunity & had to take another job in the meantime.
But the council were terrific!

And is it just me, or has kiwiblog.co.nz gone all wingdings on us?

BTW folks, breaking news:
Where's that popcorn that was going around earlier?
