Last night on twitter, those who cared but couldn't be there were relishing in the gleeful tweets from those at the King's Arms.

    Also, 'Needles and Plastic'!!!!!

OHAI. Could someone please write the Wellington RSVP email addresses in plain text?

I had a literal NSFW panic moment as the sight of a giant photo of Emma's bosoms appearing on my screen, so I'd like to RSVP without having to open up the PDF again.

Update: I've had 3 songs refunded, and the 6 other ones available for me to reupload.

I had to report each faulty song individually, and it seems that my 9 reports were handled by 4 separate people, who each dealt with the issue in a different way.

I've also contacted Amplifier to see if they can help.

So far I've had one (1) song refunded, and the promise that it will be investigated and that I should try downloading again in "a few weeks".

Hey, has anyone else bought Stroke from iTunes and noticed something weird with the songs on disk 2?

With my download, tracks 1-9 are duplicates of tracks 12-13!

So instead of Boh Runga singing "Not Given Lightly" the track with that name is the Tokey Tones doing "Round These Walls", and so on.

I've had a listen to these tracks on the iTunes Store preview and it still seems to be set up like this. I've reported these nine tracks to iTunes, so hopefully this'll get sorted.

O where is my Don McGlashan?

Outside the doors upstairs was a large box containing little packets of ear plugs - and a warning sign about the possibility of loud music ... just in case, obviously.

I've seen earplugs on offer at TSB Arena too. It wouldn't even have occurred to me to wear them at WOW or the roller derby.

Loudest gig ever - Pansy Division at Waikato Uni in 1995. It wasn't enjoyably loud. It was "Shit, something physical is actually happening to my right ear." I was left with a weird muffled sensation in that ear for about a week.

I've never experienced that since, and it makes me angry that someone willingly made the music go that loud.

In the mid-'90s, the Hamilton City Council put on a free concert at the lake starring Bony M. Some friends of mine went along (probably for ironic reasons) and took a spot on the grass in front of the stage, along with many family groups.

After a few songs of finest Euro disco, they suddenly found themselves with the urge to dance, dance, dance, so they moved up by the front of the stage and starting shakin' it.

This did not please some of the family groups, and soon disgruntled parents started yelling at them to sit down as they were blocking the view of the stage.

Up until 1982 ... the award was known as Sleeve Design of the Year. Maybe it was the creeping rise of the CD that made things ambiguous.

It's currently called Best Album Cover, but perhaps in future it will be renamed Best iTunes Thumbnail.

But RIANZ, commercial radio and most of the media provide a fairly good reason as to why most folks in NZ simply had little idea of what was being produced by the likes of...

That's more or less what I meant by 'bleak'!
