With the passing of Sir Ed, Sir Bob has ascended to the hallowed post of National Curmudgeon.
I am astounded you would put the two names in the same sentence. When was Sir Ed a curmudgeon?

I'd love to be a party to the phone call where Key asked him for coalition support ...
"Hello Winston. I need someone to close the FTA deal with the USA. I wonder if you have anyone in mind?"
I think that would do it...
-
WRT to the NZFirst decision, does this mean that Key can form a coalition with them now? I seem to remember an "out" clause in his original statement seeming to rule on that option.

And if Rodney Hide is totally okay with the commission's finding that Act failed to declare $20,000 worth of office space donated to its Parliamentary wing by Bob Jones, why didn't he front up on Morning Report today and say so?
Bob Jones blatantly colluding with ACT over the Peter's saga. Kinda puts his endless "innocent party" radio appearances into perspective. Remind me again why he supposed to be revered?

Anyway they really don't know the meaning of good customer service in this country, particularly East London where we reside.
My marketing cousin has a catch phrase she would like the Scottish Tourism Board to take up. It goes along the lines of:
tak tha poker oot yer erse an' gie us a cup o' tea.
adn. I will never forget being one of the few visitors to the Lake District (NE England) at the end of the last foot and mouth outbreak and being charged extra to dine or drink out to compensate the locals the lack of trade. It takes a certain mindset.
Oh, good service. Now that's another story.
-
Yawn, you say
I expect that's because you've stopped drinking.

Thanks Hadyn, that makes up for everything, with interest.
I think the weather forecast suits the Cantabs, a bit like the fog at the S14 final a couple of years ago.
To be honest, I don’t think most Cantabrians really care
Well, 4000 at the semi final was pathetic.
What really surprised me was how Bernie's record has stood for so long. It is not as though Wellington has been short of try scorers. I really regret that his time was before my time.
That being said, Hosea Gear has been an absolute delight to watch. He is rapier like in his dissection of defences, a nice change from the brute force and massive side step approach we have become used to.
To use a cricket analogy, he is David Gower to the Ian Bothams.

The physical result of that idea in the case of a house or a diamond ring or a car or a computer does not but continues to offer the owner a value forever. Why is that different for a recording.
It isn't.
Or did I miss something?

Hi Simon
It has been pointed out that the master tape as a physical entity is the same as other physical property.
Rather than saying "you haven't answered the question" tell us why:
It [IP] is different. Mainly because intellectual endeavour is akin to a classic "Commons". It is hard to identify where the personal ownership starts and ends.
It obviously and demonstrably does usually survive without tragic consequences.
is invalid as an answer. Maybe then we can progress a little.

and oh again. I have John Daly clubs which get out once a year. My purchase decision was definitely influenced by his "reputation".
