  • Hard News: Review: Lana Del Rey, 'Born…, in reply to Andrew Dubber,

What you all appear to have missed - but was revealed at Midem last week - is that Lana del Rey is 100% CGI.

ha ha ha . Oh no ?

  • Hard News: Getting to the bottom of…, in reply to Russell Brown,

Loads of people, and understandably so. Not every job at Foxconn is on an assembly line.

And those that are on the assembly line? They sound particularly delightful. I dunno, the things that we seem to find acceptable from a far. Hmmm.

Gee Foxconn employees - a job there, or dire poverty. Awesome choice. Bleak. Who the fk would want a job in that dump. As to being a meat processing wker in the USA ...sad very very sad.Clearly the country that is, with haste, giving up on it's poor.

  • Hard News: #BDOMemories,

Kasabian really really suck. Bye bye bdo - we'll miss ya. I remember seeing a real blinder little set from David Kilgour at the very first bdo ...it was just after his debut solo album. Breeders were truly awesome at that bdo too. I like that Laneways has gone even more left field in terms of it's lineup --- the kids are taking control.

  • Hard News: Winning the RWC: it's complicated,

And. At the dubwise central inc mansion they have this amazing pizza its fresh its gritty and it's so tasty it does tricks. Unreal. Plus, surround around sound on the big screen tv, like the Imax . What a mansion, a cloud within a cloud.

  • Hard News: The scandal that keeps on giving,

I’d forgotten the pace and intensity of Westminister PMQs on a big day. David Cameron was reckoned to have been rattled. I thought he did pretty well. I couldn’t escape the thought that our own Prime Minister would have been melted to a puddle in the first 10 minutes.

    So true. Depressingly true.

  • Hard News: Meanwhile in Epsom ..., in reply to Graeme Edgeler,

Richard Worth was in Parliament for ~10 years. Rodney's been there ~14 years. It's more, but the difference ain't great.

But what I'm not getting is how Epsom voters vote Act presumably as a 'strategy' vote or so they say, without actually owning the vote. You're voting Act for gods sake !!! Thereby pushing for at least one, probably more Act MPs to make it into parliament, likely government . This is the party for example that as a policy plank flatly reject the almost universally accepted scientific position on human caused global warming ??? Bizarre --- in many ways they are miles to the right of National .
There in lies the difference between a Green voter and an Act voter --- almost all that vote Green support many of that party's policys . I really don't undestand an Act strategic voter at all . It just seems super urban wealthy conservative and super lame.
And no I would not call Epsom an 'urban liberal electorate'.
