no rest for the wicked sonic, keep up the badgering i say

I don't want to believe that there are really people that insane out there
don't worry Jimmy, what the Herald prints is only indicative of what interests they want to promote, not what ordinary sane informed people actually think. just look at how heavily they promoted the views of the Hit Your Kids to Show You Love Them Brigade (Family First, Sensible Sentencing Trust, Friends of the Family NZ), while invisibilizing the opposing views of 'fringe' groups like UNICEF, Plunket, Barnados, IHC etc, etc.

no badgers in christchurch, they're bad for the lawns

someone get that man Arts funding. Immediately!

i mean 'fire' in a crowded theatre. if you just shouted 'theatre' in a crowded theatre people would look at you funny.

free speech has always necessarily required moderation, ie. defamation laws, perjury laws, prohibitions against hate speech and threatening communications, prohibitions against calling 111 for a laugh or shouting 'theatre' in a crowded theatre. without such moderation the utility of all speech is diminished. free speech has never been an unconditional right.

let me saddle up my hobby hose
that sure is some hobby hose you're flogging

another problem with RL identification of contributors is the reduction of information. where would journalists be if they had to reveal every source? you might end up with a higher proportion of verifiable information, but there'd also be an awful lot that'd never get said, yes?

ooh ooh me too on the board, i forgot to say that part
-
Juha, a sterling idea. how shall we elect the board? i propose by recommendation from industry heads and/or local church groups using an STV system. desired outcomes of the board could be collated by referenda then submitted to adjudication by a supra-board, appointed on the recommendation of the general board, with ratification by recognised stakeholders.
oh what fun we'll have.
