That's like saying that the first band to cut an album broke it for everyone else once the novelty wore off. People are still going to buy other bands, they're not going to stop doing so just because Radiohead/Prince/Whoever else made the first move.

The last New Zealander to win a Grammy was opera star Dame Kiri Te Kanawa in 1984, according to the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand.
Stuff is saying that Fran Walsh won for co-writing 'Into the West' in 2005. Kiri was the last one before that apparently.

That's lovely for them but you again ignore the point. if you put out an honesty box to pimp your wares and people nicked 65 percent of your product, you'd probably look at a different way of delivering. not really a success, although a comparative success to previous dealings its still a massive failure on its own level.
Actually I think the point which you're ignoring, is if Radiohead are happy, and the music consumer is happy, then there actually isn't anyone in the equation that needs to be happy.
All retail businesses have an element to them of stock which they lose without getting compensation. If Radiohead are happy with their take, and a heap more people got the music, and they were obviously happy with whatever price they paid, who is anyone else to say it was wrong? Sounds like a win-win to me.

Boney M were not really Boney M
I believe the current situation is that just about anyone is Boney M.
There's about three or four Boney M bands on tour at any one time. Any of the main four members of the band retain the right to tour under the name. Good fun.
And apparently Boney M at least performed their live music, live (unlike MV), though a lot of the recorded music was actually done by Farian.

Just because I can, I'd like to report that TBR.cc has painstakingly dissected the incident, in their own inimitable style. The consensus appears to be that we can never ensure perfect safety on small planes, so it's pointless taking steps in that direction. Instead, since these actions are 'imported cultural baggage', we need to think harder about allowing Muslims into the country.
To be honest, with small planes, it's not the passengers that are the prime target for a terrorist, it's where you can point the plane on the ground. Full rugby stadiums, government buildings and whatnot.
In which case, passenger airlines are actually much harder than just getting your license yourself and hiring a plane for an hour. Why go through the risk of having to overpower other people for the additional dozen people in your slightly large cesna.

If you mean at the 2004 convention - everyone at the convention would have been speaking for the campaign - or for the party, which had pretty much become the same thing by then. When the nomination is decided before the convention, that's all it is - a big televised launch when everyone important wipes out what they said months ago at the primaries and lauds the (distinctly average) candidate :)
