“Stuff u all! I quit!!!!!” Ham deleted his H-Town account. He was tired of the smallness of the city’s music scene. It was the same dudes popping up in the same bands. They used to joke about it being incestuous, but now it actually seemed to be getting inbred. There was a desperate need for new blood, but where from? Ham cast his cycloptic eye on his Mecano kit. Suddenly he knew what he had to do.

There seems to be a weird assumption that the only way to deal with a girl who violates the school dress code is to call her a slut.
There are, actually, other ways of dealing with such issues that don't involve adults making dramatic sexual comments about teenage girls.

Current annoyance - #replies
If I click on another page of comments, the URL has #replies, which (in theory) loads the page scrolled down to the anchor at the start of the comments section.
But in actuality it doesn't quite work that smoothly - at least not in Safari.
See, the page takes a while to load and the jump down to the anchor point doesn't happen until the whole page has loaded. So the page starts to load, displaying initially right at the top. Because I know how to work the internets, I'll manually scroll down and start reading the comments. All is well until the page fully loads and then - doof! - it flicks up to the anchor point at the start of the comments, leaving me to again scroll down to where I'd previously got to.
I'd rather have the page load without the anchor point.

I want to "like" comments.

I'd like to add to the list of people wanting an easier way to navigate to posts that aren't "first" or "last".
Some PA discussions end up getting hundreds of replies. If I'm trying to navigate to something in the middle of that, I don't want to end up clicking "newer" over and over until I get to it.
I could guess the URL, but I'd rather have the functionality built in, rather than a hack.

Hard News: Do you like what we've done…, in reply to
I don't mind a Twitter feed, but it would be more useful to have @ replies filtered out. They're pretty meaningless without context.

Gio, there's a new page that lets you see the latest blog posts as well as the top discussions.
You will find this page at: http://publicaddress.net/

The do-not-likers remind me of the outrage that happens every single time Facebook updates its design.
Groups form of angry people who hate the new design and vow to boycott it. But they eventually get used to the new design and forget they used to hate it. And then along comes a new redesign and another protest group is formed...

Heh, I just edited a typo I made in a comment from four years ago.

Potential bug - quoted text doesn't show up with the quoting format when it's previewed.
