isn't it totally illegal for an employer to say 'fuck me or fuck off' to an employee or applicant, and nothing proposed by National (or any other party) will change that?
And of course, nobody does anything illegal do they? The point is that the 90 day trial period gives employers the right to sack someone without having to give a reason and complaining that you were sexually harassed would just be put down to you being bitter about being sacked. You would have no right to claim for unfair or constructive dismissal.

i read somewhere that the incidence of small-town doctors being bullied/harassed into signing s/b forms is actually rather hi.
It was Judith Collins in parliament a few weeks back. She claimed that she had letters from doctors claiming to have been bullied into signing medical certificates, but had no proof, just that scowl she always seems to have on her holier than thou face.

Why oh why do TV websites feel the need to discourage users from viewing their online stuff? Get that BS from TV3 and TV4 as well. (even in XP) Other websites don't feel the need to do it.
I couldn't agree more. It's hard enough getting a live stream to run at all with our pathetic broadband but having to suck up to Microsoft and DRM issues was the last straw. Lets hope NZ on Screen get it right.

In the end, guys, if you're happy living in a total surveillance society don't bitch when it ends up in places you don't like.
I suspect you will find that extremes on either side, left or right, would like to have as much surveillance as possible and would "calm" the populous with soothing phrases such as "If you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to fear.
So, it would seem to me that National have stuff to hide whereas Labour just floated some silly election method. I have no problem with either of them being recorded, secretly or otherwise.I think the public can only benefit from knowing what their politicians are saying whether it be publicly or privately. -
I had a flatmate into astrology.
That reminds me. back in the early '80's I once aske a Woman what her sign was, she replied, "No Entry"

A mate just sent me This from the Hot Grits. Banned, aparently, by TVNZ.

It's not "Little Bushmen" or "The Little Bushmen". The name of the band is Little Bushman.
I thought it was 'Luttle Bushmun" must be something to do with the accent. ;-)

"I call on the people present here to witness that I, A B, take you, C D, to be my legal wife (or husband)"
I All Black take you Compact Disc to be my ......What's the country coming to? This sort of nonsense would never happen under a Facsist Dictatorship. Is that a tape recorder in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?
