Field Theory: All Blacks v Wallabies Tensionfest, in reply to
Cory Jane chasing the high ball and seeing Cooper was going to take it, slowing down a fraction so that he could be accelerating as he hit Cooper

The article merc links to shows up the witches brew of modern-day commercial shipping. It is hopelessly compromised, hopelessly corrupt and fecking dangerous. I am sure that sailors and ship people do a very hard job with consummate skill but it is in the service of a bad practice that will imperil us all and seems to have no concern for the environment it operates in. The invisible hand of the market is strangling us.

Watched with the sound off, as usual. Good game aside from the handling errors by the AB's. Q.Cooper was sleepwalking, did he not realise what time it was, or something? Israel Dagg was brilliant.
Bad weekend for the boot, though, Jebus those drop kicks!! -
I think that it would have to be the Heavy 8's at least.

Just to be a grumpy old bastard about it. I never thought that the RWC would be a goldrush for the whole country. Some people, campervan hire places spring to mind, will be feeling good. It's good and I do not envy them the hard work.
But are the taxpayers in NZ going to get any of the 39 million we paid out, back? I would like the money to go to Health, education and maritime NZ if that's OK.
For a bit of a laugh read Coddington's take on it in the Herald. It's like she knows she's mad but can't stop writing. -

Going to a Phoenix game in the circular sports arena that looks nothing like a cake tin is a great experience after quiet NZ crowds. Even the appearance of an aeroplane is noted and commented on by the whole crowd.
