I know I'm not unique with my particular disorder but on the rare occasion that I mention it most people think I'm joking. I have no trouble with names, it's faces that I forget.
I had a good friend visit me just the other day, he had only been to my house a couple of times and both of those were parties but I know him well from work and other social events. He knocked on my door, unexpectedly, and was quite taken aback when I asked him what he wanted in a manner, almost exclusively, reserved for door to door sales people. It took me about ten to fifteen, embarrassingly painful, seconds to recognise him. Most of the time people think I'm just bloody rude. -
@jon_knox
Totally with you on Opera, speshly the built in eMail client and the notes feature (excellent for research, copy to note and you have the clip you want saved and if you double click the note it will take you back to the site it came from well handy)
I had a look under the bonnet of Chrome and discovered that it seems to be built like an operating system for a dumb terminal. Put that together with Picassa for your pix, google docs and google apps etc., bingo, cloud computing. -
@Evan
It seems to integrate well with Google reader which, I guess you could just have it running in a separate tab. I'll have a play with that. -
AAAARRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

@Gareth Cool gearz ;-)I'm just trying out the new Google Chrome Browser. Not Mac ready yet , or linux, but I like it. very snappy an full of tricky tweaks

I know all you guys think that only the U.S and A are having that little foible of democracy called an election but I would just like to remind you of the fact that we have a similar thing happening here, although with less entertainment factor, on the 8th of Nowonder.
I did mention, a few months back, that the only thing National were offering was "Better".
Now the campaign is in it's last, lame, stage I would like to say that the new slogan is less better than the last meaningless catch-phrase.
"A Brighter Future" Can someone PLEASE ask the only person that National is using to front this banal campaign, John Key (for those that haven't noticed) what that actually means?Does it mean an end to the energy saving light bulbs?
Do we get sunglasses with that?
Do we get more ultra violet?
Will our houses get painted bright blue?
will my underwear, somehow, come out of the washing machine whiter?
Will we see a more intelligent front bench in the house. (Tui Add Break)
Everything will make our eyes hurt?
Everybody will become more astute?
Better?
Brighter?
BollocksI just noticed that the first letters of each line spell Dweeb (ignoring some repetition)

" searchiong" ? hmm, wonder what that means?

There was a wonderful line on the Simpsons last night.
Marge, searchiong through a closet. "Three pairs of shoes? That's some fetish" -
I would like to thank the robbers, the murderers, the rapists the generally violent, the selfish and greedy and all those considered by most people of society as being scum. They make me realise that I am a pretty good guy.
I love the averasctic money grubbing currency traders with their seaside mansions, their 40 metre gin palaces, their cars that cost more than my house and their smug attitude. The religious fanatics that look down their nose at me as if I were a failure and a sinner and believe that they will be "Saved". These things and more make me realise that Winston, Helen and I are not the devils spawn.
That prize belongs to those that believe that John Key is our new, and improved, savior for they shall suffer the most when all their baubles turn to dust.I would also like to thank the Aucland City Council for havnig great customer service, in spite of that fellow John Banks.

I, finally, got around to reading Trotters piece.
He is, totally, correct in his assumption of a which hunt on Peters as a smear on Labour and its supporters. Anyone that dissagrees with this is a gullable muppet.
Vote Labour, keep the faith.
