See Felony disenfranchisement for a list of countries that do not obey Wayne Mapp's logic.

"It is surely logical that when you are incarcerated you also do not have the right to vote,"
Anyone who clams that it is surely logical that if A then B is by default wrong. Doubly so in this case.

Yeah yeah, the Swedish judiciary are all a pack of CIA stooges. I got the memo.
Indeed. To the extent that they were spying on CIA’s secret rendition programme.
On Säpo’s orders, Swedish military intelligence agents dressed up as airport service personnel and boarded the plane. The agents reported back that the plane was carrying prisoners.
Interesting #cablegate stuff.

My point is that foreigners who have any experience with prostitutes anywhere else in the world might be very, very surprised by what they can get busted for in Sweden
I know we're past this point, but for reference, they would get busted for simply paying a prostitute for sex. It's not illegal to sell sex, but it is illegal to buy sex in Sweden.

That's the - "people have a different opinion to me on Afghanistan/Israel etc because the don'lt know the full story and they don't know the full story because of the capitalist media and the Lobby etc" theory.
Well, it's not like that theory lacks examples to support it.

That story is from August and relates to the Afghan releases.
True, but I was referring more to the way WikiLeaks responded to criticism. Their faith in the "it's true so must be released and all will be well"-mantra is a bit grating.

There seems to be criticism of the leaks coming from Human Rights Groups as well.
WikiLeaks response to this criticism is less than stellar.

For some local (well, down-under anyway) books I can recommend Justine Larbalestier. Her Magic trilogy was quickly devoured by our resident young adults.

An interesting response from Reporters Without Borders: Wikileaks hounded?
We are shocked to find countries such as France and the United States suddenly bringing their policies on freedom of expression into line with those of China.
