Yeah, I agree, not a big fan of the design. But that ain't my call really!Exactly how I feel, don't like it, not comfortable that I can't have a say in what would be great for all New Zealand. Really sad that it has left an impression of, one for them and one for us. I cant get behind that. Separatism needn't be a reason to fly flags together, doesn't make sense to me. Could we have some unity for a flag for all? At least our historical one and say a more modern inclusive one?

And let's just say that if Helen Clark had decided to fly the TR flag over the bridge without any hui in Maoridom, I believe a few of these voices would be praising her for her biculturalism and recognition of a modern NZ.
How about we leave the woman alone and out of this current situation, as it isn't that helpful. How about a thought for it being ok if any political party flies their flag. I think, because the Maori Party chose this flag as it's political insignia, it could be revisited for appropriateness. It kinda feels like it is the Maori Party flag and not a flag representing all Maori, to me. Maybe I is wrong though.(throwing in the out clause so as to not ruffle feathers :)

It's a Tolley thing. Knew it was coming so not particularly surprised. One just had to sit through Parliament last year to see her take over Katherine Rich to get an idea of what was to come. As a teacher said today that felt like music to my ears.Regarding Teachers unions " We may not be as strong as we were, but we are strong enough, so all you parents need to check them out, if you want a united front. This was a very reputable man.

i have a rule "what goes online stays online" and shouldn't affect real life dealings. people tend to get in trouble when they rep themselves. it just seems a waste of face time talking 'bout puter time unless you have a vested interest
There is always the chance of learning something, and from that educating others. For some,it is their only line of communication, but, have ya rules, doesn't bother me.
