Oh, Halloween, er, yeah. That explains something.
Like duh, silly me.
Well it was like this, see. What happened was nothing really. There was this knock on the front door, doesn't happen often and so I goes and opens it see? An, and there was this apparition, a being sort of thing. Well, it were all wrapped up in toilet paper and I screamed, like shocked an' stuff I panicked, you know, the way you do, eh? So' they weren't that big so I thought I would do the right thing and save the neighbours, as you do, from these zombie things.
Anyroad, what happened next was sheer terror, what seemed like eons of child abuse. I tell you I have never heard such abuse from children.
Then came the banshee like screeches, the wailing of souls, the gut wrenching sounds of torment and the pounding of fists on my shield of solitude, my front door.
As I cowered in the corner of my, very small I must add, office (it's a vestibule, actually, you know, those spaces between the front door an the proper house) I could observe the fear and trepidation on the creature assaulting my castle, i was a MOTHER!!!!!!
Fearing for my peace of mind and mental stability (which some, I presume, may consider to be the same) I made a run for the bathroom.
Apparently it's all ok now. -
To be fair, Steve, there might have been a lot more indignation if the Nats had just let BNZ collapse.
Hmm and left that poor odd couple Fay and Richwhite to fend for themselves?
The ignomony, the inhumanity. Those poor wretched souls left out in the cold hard winds of the unregulated marketplace. Good on the dole bludgers for giving what little they had for the benefit of so few. -
there's one or two people around who don't really care. Or don't have the expected Pavolvian reflux at the very mention of the name of the Demoness Ruth Richardson.
Yes, all that meringue comin' back atcha along side the acid bile from the Kiwi fruit.
Ruth bloody Richardson. I still recoil at the total lack of indignation, on the part of the NZ public, when she bailed out the BNZ with the $650 million she had just snatched from Beneficiaries. Yes, Reflux, it's all coming back now. -
Yup, my bad. I jumped the gun on that one, eh?
That voting machine buisiness just gets me so mad anyone within spitting distance of it cops the phegm from me. Most of what Hagel has done is on the positive side so why should we worry how he got there. -
Craig, are you taking the piss?
But he doesn't toe the Christianist party line on abortion and other social issues with sufficient fervour, therefore he's been shat on so many times it shouldn't surprise anyone he's had enough.
No wonder you don't see real corruption when it winks at you with a cold dark staring eye.
You seem to think this behavior, not only normal but to be commended.
The man is in it for the power not the principal. -
Steve: You're talking the piss, aren't you?
No,and I don't think these guys are either.

the word rich may well not be in my list of words I use when talking about music. it kinda seems irrelevant.
That was my reaction to you saying that "nobody makes any money out of touring" my point was they do but not heaps.
if someone puts on a show, and people attend said show, then it is a good to aim for a cover charge spread across the members of the public attending that will cover the costs of putting on said show. just basic economics really.
You don't have to spend a whole bunch of cash on advertising in a country this size, word of mouth is all it takes, I know, I have done it. You just have to read the public.
That it is harder to do that the further south you go is an interesting observation don't you think.
There are lots of Scots down south ;-)

Craig:
The GOP don't need piles of visible cash to pull this off, it is entrenched (there's that word again) in the mindset of republican supporters, they really believe that the country belongs to them, the Civil war never ended for them.
There is an irony here in that the Unionists believe there is strength in a union and the Confederate's believe in a more devolved power structure. However. the Democrats come from a belief system that looks on the South as a bunch of Rednecks that we associate with the right wing of the US. It's bonkers really. -
Oh come on Rob. I have known local bands for years who have made their money out of performing, yes millionairs they aint but they make more than a burger flipper and admitedly a few did both (perform and flip burgers that is) You seem to have the impression that if someone plays music then they have a right to get rich, that's bollocks.

So it's, 81st (i have a spare answering machine) Column then?
