  • Hard News: Feminist as crazy old man,

Hear hear, GT. Although I totally agree with homebirth, my sisters midwife didn't show, so it was left up to me (along with trying to find the Father on a Blues Brothers tour somewhere in this country),and I don't think I had any experience. May I throw in here that the Mother of the kids I look after does work on the 9th floor of Ak Hospital amongst the most difficult births in NZ and I would totally trust her judgement on any decisions regarding a difficult situ. Choice is yours, and thanks for that NZ.

  • Hard News: Feminist as crazy old man,

    I recommend the drugs.

I often recommend the drugs. For someone who chose not to have kids, I have been the only person with my sister when she chose to have her naughty boy at home and I certainly needed the drugs, (oh hang on, it's about the mother not the helper ) she should have but, I'll tell you that for nothing!
FWIW Danielle, I suspect you will be fine, and if not ,I suspect you will tell those around you. :)

  • Hard News: Feminist as crazy old man,

Well, you had to be there.

Yes thanks but I'll stick to the " Mad Men" series, which all in itself leaves a rather fishy energy drink kinda flavour for todays times. Ah, cigarettes, sex and the sixties, all wrapped up in chauvinism.

  • Stories: Love,

    Sof' -that garden sounds awesome.

'Tis my friend, I planted 22 new specimens today, then had food then joined the crew at Macs Neighbourhood Bar for their 1st birthday with free drinks and food. I have taken photos of such a wonderful evening of this event and a gift of them will celebrate the occasion. Islander, you get better girl, must hurry, love you .

  • Stories: Love,

The love thread is languishing. Sad, when we need love more than ever,

Yes. After a week in the blissful far north with friendly strangers and open affection from our close friends, my love sits firmly in my heart for those people and those glorious locations to which I have become so expecting, as my annual medication.Gotta love NZ.
I got home last night, thought, flick on the box to catch up and choice up first was 3 Hitler programmes, 3 crime programmes, and a couple of disaster shows. Great hmmmm.then the PVR malfunctioned, then I ignored it all and looked at my many new Bromeliads that I returned from my holiday with. Gotta love gifts from our friends. Before we left there yesterday (taking one friend with us to Kerikeri Airport, to climb mountains in Qtown) I told them that they were the best people to know in the far north. I know I am not wrong. Then of course there is the view. Gotta love those views.
