Kingsland Train Station has been extended.
We need to have a dedicated bus lane AND trains AND close the Kingsland Strip AND a walking bus to move people in an efficient way.
Like any other game at Eden Park. They close Sandringham Road at the moment when a game is on, so more of that I guess.

Trains similarly not the whole answer, especially because new ones still ages away.
The point really is Sacha that all this does exist already including buses and we are supposed to want to spend millions because some people are staying downtown. So really a stage would suffice with a bit of entertainment.

Well, major works from Kingsland Train Station to Eden Park. 4 houses have gone to make room for the walkway, and one can get from Britomart to there. So Party Central to train to kingsland and a 4 minute walk across to the park would probably be easier. Also get off the train and several drinking establishments already there, many, with bigish screens. Our Local is planning a big screen out the front and they have a glass wall inside that looks straight at the Park. They know the little goldmine they are sitting on.

My Dad submitted a plan to rejuvenate the Quay area to the Council way back in the day of Les Mills. He put trees and seating and grass onto the waterfront. no one else had. We got The Viaduct.

Frankly, Tell me this. Why the hell did these twits move down to the inner city if they don't want the noise of an inner city. Why don't they fuck off back to their lifestyle blocks? Jesus you just can't please some of the people all of the time,or all of the people some of the time. It's not like they need beauty sleep, hello! it's called plastic surgery!

Surrounding retailers might not like the free barbie idea much though.
For the plebs darlin'!Those who normally take up the whole of the waterfront with the over inflated food prices and people to match won't be bothered by the plebs.E.g. Mission Bay has no problem when there is a bit of a do on the beach. Business love drawing people into their area. The likes of Euro etc. will be glad for someone else to accommodate/ feed that which they don't want anyway.

Hell, we could just go down there and start setting a venue up. We can just say the New Council authorised it. Seeing as we don't know who or what that will be and anyone on it is not accountable to Aucklanders anyway. After all ain't it about who you blow? Let's just do it!
