  • Hard News: Still crazy after all these years,

And it's not as if the point hasn't been made on this thread that the actions of the Herald might well constitute entrapment,

Ok, probably going out on a PAS tangent (I like to think) here. I don't know that what you say was made. But I am just being lazy trying to not get all jiggy with it. I know Robbie is pretty good with pissing many people off around here, and especially to people I respect, but I do think his point (albeit a little more than I think necessary) was trying to highlight the difference of man and woman in our society. Naturally many of us understand, the want I suppose, to accept each other because we treat each other equally. I think Robbie has current legitimate questions for his time. It could be innocence. It could be brute machismo. It could be a different world view. I am trying to understand the questions Robbie's poses. Is this cultural that I can't understand? I don't think he tries to denigrate women, perhaps he just sees the average view ?
Just my opinion, but I ain't prepared to judge.

  • Cracker: Wallywood,

But could it be within the realms of possibility that The Hurt Locker and Kathryn Bigelow won because... well, a plurality of the voters actually thought they deserved it?

And,nothing wrong with a "must do better next year" post it on the fridge, for those coming in second eh?

  • Busytown: Holiday reading lust,

(Also, it is - strangely - really hilarious. We hit pause to laugh uproariously at least once an episode.)

    So right there Danielle.
Now aren't you supposed to be having your baby about now?

Jeez Stowell, if you've given me a bum steer - your arse/whatever part ofyou, you most cherish, is *cooking*-

I sat for an entire wet weekend to watch the whole of "The Wire" and still wished for a wee bit more than 5 series.
My kinda crime series, although be prepared to get down and dirty in the depths of Baltimore.
    To be sure.

  • Hard News: Still crazy after all these years,

It, and books, are my luxuries.
Except for somewhat occasionally expensive alcohol

Ah, luxury. each to their own eh?
My luxuries are changing all the time. At the mo, it is the sleeve of Tattoos I am doing as a therapy.I also find fine dining luxury and the absolute enjoyment of having a garden,(rather than flatting with 250 specimens in pots)To have a plant flower for 48 hours then decline, with the knowledge that another life is created because of that, and the exquisite flower is no more. I have to share the image now. It is the big one towards the end of this album.Enjoy. :)

  • Hard News: Still crazy after all these years,

Oh and Ben, when it comes to Boots I have been known to splash out $800, then again my cheap boots got more wear and both are still intact. I also will admit to claiming a bargain because there was a Sale on, thus saving $200, and therefore bargain/cheap is yet another category, but style, one can never have enough style, which could be 2nd hand lycra if you ask Mr Crawford.
Ok, I'll move along now....(in my cheap 2nd hand car) :))
