bright coloured electrical charge which held the pod to the machine

    hehe, that should do nicely.

worked out how to pull down

yes that is a shame isn't it. i think they're still rather cagey about the number of even high tech whirlies that come down that way. but you're also right that nothing ticks over an aging stockpile like a good old fashioned massive bombardment. who cares if it gets the target? that's hardly the point. anyway enough of that, any more really expensive toilet seat stories?

some I know it is - due to grants, residencies, competitions and so on. I need to get over it

well now you know what to shout and where to fix that, don't you.

  • Hard News: The Civility Code,

I'm going to take that as a compliment

As long as you don't take it as a supplement

    that's quite funny.
but yes you're right deborah, a moment's weakness on my behalf. well, obviously i have them all the time but that one just coincided with hitting the Post button.

it does make me laugh how readily some of the rightwing hate sites are so wildly sensitive to to their own medicine, and at the drop of a nastiness scream (madly and nastily) about how unfair and nasty their opponents can be. ho hum. so it goes.

  • Stories: Life in Books,

thanks for your thoughtful reply dyan, i worried afterward that it might be taken as a criticism of your father, which it certainly wasn't - so i'm relieved you didn't take it that way.
you know, i think the thing that makes wars invariably really evil is that the people that decide to wage them are never the ones that pay the big costs.

Wises Maps. Like to know where I'm supposed to be going

me too, i love maps. when i was a kid i wanted to be a cartographer. i can't imagine why, i guess i just thought they looked neat. old, pre-satellite maps are cool too me thinks.

Che, looks like you got yourself a live one there big buddy.
who is Chi? what is Chi? are we not all Chi? i'm figuring it's not a reference to eastern mysticism (that stuff's even more evil than not thrasing your kids and letting them RUN OFF THE RAILS).

    remembering that shirt does hurt.
i liked Utz best of all chatwin's novels, but then i knew one of the characters, which made it more interesting i guess. Haven't read Newby but i hear it is good so i might try that soon. you're right, this is the wrong thread. the fabric of PAworld may unravel.
