NEW HAMPSHIRE - A US man says he swiped his debit card at a service station to buy a packet of cigarettes and was charged over 29 quadrillion dollars.

A predicted tsunami hit Bluff about 10.30pm last night following the earthquake which struck Southland, but its height - 17cm - meant it was tiny.
The confirmation of the Bluff tsunami's size led to the wider warnings being cancelled soon after.

You can also have deflation. In that scarenareo your mortgage repayments could skyrocket in terms of % of income and house value.
In other news, BNZ loses IRD case, could be stung for $645 million. -

Ken Ring jumps in:
I always get that guy's name muddled, Ken Moon, he predicts the weather with his ring.

p.s.
As the water around that part of the coast is exceptionally deep for a coastline then the tsunami would just remain small. -
A 17-centimetre tsunami?
Yes, it has to do with the depth of the water. If it was 17cm in 200 mtrs of water then when it reached the shore it would be 200 X 0.17 which would be 34mtrs. About 100 feet.
