Certainly don't want to do that. For me it's about framing the argument, and the introduction and early posts have done that well.
Anyway, I'm sure it's not the PAS Massive's destiny to be preaching to the converted.

I would refer you to this.
Did you have to? That was just before my time, but yes, seems we've come a long way [sic], through the hard times and the good, I have to celebrate you... sorry, where was I?
Did someone say High Heels? There's one for you Craig.*
*Might not make sense without the @MusePABlog ref, but yeah, you probably got it.

Seeing Shane Jones there was... dispiriting in the extreme.
The whole thing was decidedly troubling on levels I haven't even thought of yet.

Lots one could say about this, but what I will say is thank you. If even one more person gets this, in a not misogynist douchebaggy kind of way, our three daughters will have a better chance in life.
When you see the yelling going on elsewhere, and people name calling because their little sensitivities have been hurt (boohoo), this thread is refreshingly grown up so far. Unless I missed a whole lot of redaction.
Good luck with all the signs, costumes and getting the message across.

That is amazing.

After this morning's shake up, even more eerie.

So much energy and attitude.
I think there are a number of bass players that challenge the stereotype expressed in the cartoon linked above, and Gallup is definitely one of them. Try humming a Cure song without the bass.

modest effort
Hmm, define 'modest'. But yes, I regret umming and ahhing. Although, I did get to see them here in 2007 for 3 hours, and got my copy of A Forest signed by Porl Thompson and Simon Gallup. Apparently Robert Smith had the flu, to carry on the theme.
What was it you said about modest?

...and clever!
If that didn't make you feel good, you should probably seek urgent medical attention. I have no idea what they were singing about, but I know it was something happy and good.

At the risk of sounding well, like a gloating bastard, I can report the four hour Cure gig was farking brilliant. I reckon the clip below, The Forest, was shot by a bloke just in front of me.
I so nearly jumped on a plane for that, and am intensely jealous. Might never happen again. Gloat away.
Wow, have loved that song for years but had never seen the vid, awesome, thanks Jack!
Welcome. Speaking of gloating bastards, sifting through that vinyl mentioned earlier, I have the 7" of that very single.

In a week during which I spend $60 on a rubber band for my turntable, I kind of wish there was a way to play some scratchy vinyl loveliness for the sufferers.
Real Groovy is celebrating 30 years over the weekend. Seems worth getting out there to see some of the bands playing, or trade some records. Chris Hart on bFM this morning seemed to have a few years left in him yet.
Speaking of 1981, Don't fight it...
