You only get one marshmallow with a hot choccie in Wellington? Come up to cosmopolitan Hamilton, you'll get two!

I'm speechless.
I was composing a post along the same lines, only longer, and more funnier, but no less ironic. Something about how those pink ribbons look really ugly if you don't colour coordinate your outfit to match them.
IO beat me with a blunt obje^H^H^H^H comment. Its for 4 weeks. Its for a really good cause. Get over it!

That's a new one on me, I'd heard of the pornstar mo, the Freddie Mercury mo, the dodgy scoutmaster mo and the overweight 80's aussie cricketer mo, but I wasn't aware of the dying-of-AIDS mo.

I read this a saying if an anonymous poster wants to post a comment here or on Kiwiblog, they can
Yeah, I think it means we can post what we like, but Russell (as he presumably makes money from the blog, via ads) has to tell us his address.

(or maybe just Snake Pilsen's eye patch)
I think Daryl Hannah already nicked it off him...

Heh. When I worked at a stockbroker, a content filtering system was put in on mail that excluded exactly 4 words f-word, c-word, sl-word, wh-word.
IIRC, the good burghers of Scunthorpe have no end of troubles with such filters...

Dear Fiauxna
We knew it wasn't really you. It wasn't anything you said (apart from the bit about "I'm not really Fiona"), it was what you didn't say - the lack of mention of Whedon/Buffy/Angel gave the game away.

However, if anyone knows of a late-model bronze-coloured Rolls Royce or Bentley with right rear damage, I want that bastard's number. Sideswiped me @ 130 kph on the Esmonde Road offramp sending me into a very nearly catastrophic spin, by end of which I was back on the motorway. He owes me damages and an apology.
Did you report it to the police? There can't be too many vehicles of that description in the database. If it was a bronze Toyota Corolla, that would be a different matter.

The interview with Bob McCroskie on bFM is interesting because he admits that he hadn't actually watched Californication before calling for it to be boycotted.
But, unless the networks give him a preview copy (to ensure some good, negative publicity?), he would be unable to legally view it except by flying to a country that was broadcasting it. It ain't out on DVD for parallel importing yet. That leaves someone taping it and mailing to him (or Bit Torrent, but I think we can count that out), which I think is against the time-shifting fair-use rules in the US, Aussie and here.

What is it with Prime actually screening stuff?
Having a ready source of non-US material could come in handy for them in the next few months if the fountain of mediocrity from the US dries up with the writers' strike and all.
