Christmas was almost non-existent, but all the better for it. New Years has been interesting - I'm sat on the sofa in Glasgow at 3am on New Year's Day, the only thought in my head about maybe having another cigarette, none of this 'oh whatever will the new year bring'.
Not yet anyway. That'll hit me when I'm home.

A trailer cut together from Bridget Sutherland's doco 'Far Off Town: Dunedin to Nashville,' about David Kilgour, Lambchop et al shot in Nashville, TN and Dunedin.
I've still not managed to see this - it got one showing at the London Film Festival in October. Next showings are apparently in San Francisco, end of Feb, start of March. http://www.noisepop.com/2006/

Matt - The regional stores have always limited customers to those who have a card in that territory. Its not just a NZ thing.
I would imagine it is to do with rights and stuff (but I don't see how it doesn't affect imports and such on physical music).
And yes, it sucks the big one. I can only hope it'll change one day but till then I'll stick to newzealandcds.com and (grudgingly) SmokeCDs.com.

JP: pretty sure TV shows are a fair way off. Old NZ music videos would indeed be lovely though. The Flying Nun DVDs almost aren't enough!

Mm, yeah. Also, the new account sign-up was temporarily going through the US default, but it now offers a New Zealand iTunes Store account. Payment via Mastercard and Visa based in NZ, which locks me out somewhat.
