Richard L, I agree that there are some good cops and my friend in the force is one of them. I do believe there is more to come of this .
Society does need good cops .

Rickards, Schollum and Shipton have done enormous damage to their integrity as viewed by the majority of the New Zealand public.
My experience of current cops would qualify me to say, that they are rotten from top to bottom, and have been for quite some time.Anyone that does not believe me should read the book written by the former kiwi detective - Tom Lewis “ Cover Up & Cop Outs”, as it is a real eye opener. This culture of police is disturbing. I do feel it’s time, long overdue for a big clean up, surely after this debacle?
What did Justice Young say in 2005 about the two SS rape ratbags ,oh thats right , "You were confident you could committ a serious crime and get away with because you were policemen -and you almost did ."
Anyway that my 10 cents worth on yet another sad and expensive saga for society.

I am appalled that the front page of my newspaper features
“ Labour slams Tory charity.”I am perturbed that our gracious and caring underclass denier Prime Minister refutes the inspirational move by National, as “ extrapolated from an anecdote”, while the smarmy Maharey claims the figures are a “guesstimate”
However it is good news to see Peter Dunne say that the plan to put food into schools is a good one and should be expanded.

I see a few people think that it is hilarious that John Key should care about a developing underclass population here in kiwiland. I suggest his support for community organisations backed by big business bucks makes simple sense to me. The present bureaucratic ideology seems to be failing miserably where children are concerned. For example, if we didn’t have a growing underclass why do we have such appalling child abuse statistic’s, surely this is a sign that all it not well in society, and that state funded social agencies cannot adequately address the issues? Balanced individuals who do not work within the limits of a political agenda can rectify surely rising crime levels and many of our social ills. Surely Mr Key’s proposal’s would be beneficial to society, as a growing underclass is a tragic reality in New Zealand..

I think the blog world is fantastic, as it allows you to voice an opinion on boards that promote opposite ends of the political spectrum. I can post a message on the right side of the fence, for example post a comment on the incredibly delicious and acid tongued Ann Coulters blog, and then jump back over to the left and post a comment here. Again the Herald spurt meaningless rhetoric without balance or common sense…maybe from a media outlet that feels threatened by the blogosphere? Who knows …who cares. I have been blamed for being the mystery author of the cyfswatch blog on many messages boards around the Internet traps, however I am not guilty your honour. However on that subject I do not hide behind anonymity and do genuinely feel for parents, who perceive they are victims of injustice. It is easy to for big government to file such people in the nutter’s cupboard without listening to their cries for help. It is little wonder many parents/grandparents react badly to having a fundamental part of their social order violated, and dignity obliterated by a uncaring bureaucratic inertia that has a well known trail of incompetence. I am thankful to the power and influence of the Internet.

Just go and sit in any Courthouse for a day for the evidence . Ask cops , lawyers ,judges and mental health workers what damage they are doing to our youth.

I am not into drugs anymore, as I suppose the dull buzz of getting out of it just wore off with old age. I think the decriminalisation of cannabis would not benefit society in any beneficial way, other than freeing up police resources. Arguably, making party pills legal was a sick joke, that has gone terribly wrong, and if they are made illegal then the gangs look to add them to the stock sold from tinny houses that litter our communities.
All I can see in the future is more power to the already out of control gangs , as they look set to get even more financial.Shamefully the IRD encourage drug dealers who pay tax ,while they are protected by pathetic privacy laws. I wonder how long before we have our first millionaire drug dealer boasting about their achievement flashed across our TV screens ?
It would be nice to think people did not need stupid drugs to fill the void in their lives .
