Another of our neighbours was with her, and they'd come to ask advice "because you're in that TV ad". We agreed it needed to reported, and the police came later.

wow that's more just some good mate, that's helping change a life.
i thought it was great when you did those ads, and wow

    this has made my weekend

  • Hard News: Slumpy Cashflow,

Some wit in the WCC Parks & Garden's department has taken to planting the boarders of traffic island flower beds with fancy lettuces (and very attractive they are too...)

they have them in the botanical gardens as well
and like everything in the botanical gardens if you are visiting on days when they are digging up beds a nice hello and a smile will get you whatever they are digging up, or pruning.

I filled a whole flat garden with garden tulips over the space of a couple of years and i know someone who has had sucess with the rose trimmings .

  • Hard News: Misquote Unquote,

I reckon those are some good points Jeremy and one i've been pondering today and reading up a bit so 'm not a complete duffer.
Firstly i think china's importna becuase other human being are plus it's a beautful place, so that's enough for me to want to care.

this decade has seen massive poverty reduction in china, that's a good thing. Yes it's uneven and the infant mortality rate totally blows.

but obviously some things are starting to work for the betterment of the general population.

so for me the question is how does human rights fit into that?
how can the world encourage china to care about human rights?

my trick is ask a question you know the answer to

ask it and when they get it right or say they don't know but can find out = jump for joy

    when they get it wrong
= inform them of the correct answer and ask them how much they want to sell this to you for a discount

But more importantly, let me speak up for China. Yes, they still do some bad things, but it's nothing compared to Stalin, Mao, Hitler or the US Civil war.

um actually yes it is as bad
and that's what we know about

this is the amazing enigma of china, it's a beautiful fascinating place.
But pretty ugly all at the same time
