Said Nandor was the brightest one there, and one of the most sensible too.
Isn't this the point rather than how hard they work? Act's results so far don't seem to bear out any formula that say the harder you work the better the outcome.

But I fear that Rodney gave his new recruit a glimpse into the real soul of the party.
Really Russell, I'd be more afraid if he didn't.
And Shawn Tan an idealist? If he has any trade union ideals, surely they are entirely contradicted by the Act Party, which has vociferously opposed everything that might benefit wage workers for its whole existence. So perhaps he is a gullible idealist with very little information. And if he didn't have any trade union ideals, why would he work for one?

Yes, unseemly - unseemly to have converted so far and so quickly. Not however, unseemly that he might have a view different from mine, your's or even his employer's.
Or naive.

What strikes me is is how you can attend at Green Party AGM in June, and then contrive to number 10 on the Act party list a little over 10 weeks later. Fascinating.
And what is the Act Party up to? Stirring up a situation ripe for a nice bit of union bashing just before the elections? Yum!

Cate Brett: Now there was an intrepid and thorough investigative journalist.

But why Joanne Black on Media 7? She already has ample (too much?) access to the public discourse, and really has nothing much to say (and if she mentions her bloody house renovations again....!!!)
Couldn't agree more - unless you're looking for a dull background to make the others shine.

Oh... just fuck off
Well Craig, you will read left wing Blogs. Wouldn't you be happier with a different sort?

But if you are upset about increasing oil consumption right now, get pissed off at the Chinese and Indians, not the Yanks.
But on the other hand I can see why our getting pissed off with the Chinese and the Indians might seem a little illogical to them (and to me, actually). We, after all, have been hogging the resources and messing up the environment for a long time - and also advertising our one-eyed, greedy life style as elegant, sophisticated and desirable.

Despite any impression I may have given to the contrary, I do actually believe Helen Clark isn't a soulless fem-bot of untrammelled malevolence.
Well that's certainly a relief, Craig!

Which gives us a rough estimate of how many people you need to squish to raise one to super-wealth. Which makes you wonder what Naional's backers think they'd get out of such policies, since only one of them wil get to be the oligarch...
Or maybe one fifth of a Nat - I don't know - what percentage of 72 million is 17?
