  • Up Front: It's Not Sex, and It's Not Education,

I mentioned to my other half that I don't remember having sex ed at School, he said I probably didn't go that day. I then remembered the boyfriend I had across the road from school. I had sex ed there.

One only has to read kiwibog to see where the nastiness could manifest onto a stadium seat or pub. Even the spiteful daily attacks on Red Alert are another indication of the mindset of some people with nothing better to do. The comraderie in numbers is encouragement to do more and I expect the pub or stadium would be exactly the same. imo

And that smiley wavy hand job man wants to give them more powers to do as and when they please. Urgency is not the place to be eroding our civil rights, especially when law already exists to allow surveillance. Plus, Greg O'Connor should be fired for misleading the public.Hrrrumpf! Rant over :) Coat getting.

    remain strong,”

That's probably why. "Always finish on an upbeat positive note", would be fitting to the Crosby Textor schooling of the art of bullshit. As in whenever addressing or being questioned about the opposition, "short sharp negative soundbites" like "Blank cheque, costly, expensive ill informed" which Key used earlier.

Thanks for that link Joe. I think it is comprehensive and is an indication of Labour having listened to the residents, used common sense and does care about your city. I do think it's a good policy which can benefit all New Zealanders. I do think it shows that by getting out amongst you all at meetings, has had an effect on the policy that's been rolled out. Good on Lianne, Brendon, Ruth and Clayton, for expressing on behalf of the people what needs addressing. Good solid believable policy that can work for everyone. I don't mind my tax helping there, fully support buying into that.

    Key really is a phenomenon.

And Bill English is surplus to requirements it would seem.

Tonight Goff did say he would honour the promises made and if the Govt wont keep their promises Labour will do those too.
I hope it really works out for all of yous down there. After seeing on Campbell live a tour through the red zone, no access for citizens of the businesses that were there, with the palava to get in there, signing to insure yourself, how little is actually known, except Gerry et al, I know everything must be extremely hard right now. It kinda feels like an ongoing nightmare to me and I am not there. :(
    Take care Mr Wylie.

    This isn’t the Middle East.

I think their alcohol free zones would be a little bigger ;)

    without insurance...,

    Ok, from Goff

Resolve the insurance standoff and, as a last resort, be prepared to intervene in the insurance market on a short-term basis to get the market functioning again

I do think it sounds a hell of a lot better than this current debacle down there.

Demolition might not have shortages but building new houses will, and remember although we don't have major earthquakes up this way yet, we do have leaky buildings and thousands of those so I guess the apprenticeship, training schemes is killing two stoned birds once.
I really like the acquisition of property which could help the likes of Mr Haywood and I think training will help the thousands of unemployed youth in your regions.jmo though.
