  • Legal Beagle: On Cats and Coro, in reply to chris,

Do some actual work you lazy fuck.

Donkey John Ill is relaxed about that. He has Coro to save, or will he just "muddle through" until the next Election.

but St John’s & the Stroke Foundation (along with Foundation for the Blind & Women’s Refuge)

I was thinking ,membership for St John is reasonable and they are a great help if you need a hospital quickly. That is a support worth having. And here's a good moment in time. The lovely ol' lady who lived down the back from us, passed recently, and has left her house to the Women's Refuge. It sold on Wednesday. What a huge boost to Women's Refuge. Cool eh :)

You obviously weren’t meant to stop talking! ;-)

    All in a life's work.
Islander, I must get down there and take a photo. Soon. I'll send it.

Yes and thanks to Islander who contributed greatly to the sculpture, it was much appreciated and cathartic for me. It felt right to give back to those who had given me their best. :)

Actually we are pretty resilient. I was paralysed on my left side for a while, Got ability back but feeling/sensations are strange. Being on chemo for a year fixed my damaged liver. Hell my jaw muscle was removed on the right side but surprise surprise I learnt to talk without it for the month I was waiting for the brain swelling to go down. My friends weren’t surprised much though. So with missing skull and missing jaw muscle and paralysed ,I could still talk. That, even surprised the Surgeon. It is just fantastic what a public hospital can do for ya these days!

T'was at the time, but I am still here (attached to lots of medication) and now, I just don't sweat the small shit. Get's me through the daze. Amazing how an experience like mine helps one to adjust their radar. I just wish I could run or skip or do anything physical a little faster than walk. But hey, I don't sweat the small shit so that's waaay down my list. First I want world peace. Yeah right!

I 'spose imitation is a form of flattery so thank you for caring/sharing your head room.
Mine is actually images of the bolts and the bridge across my brain with dye through to illuminate function after it had been a bit blank for a wee while. It was good to see there was some development and my man made a light box (just like the xrays in the movies) in which 4 images fit and which is now our hall light. It is a gentle reminder also of a transition from dying to coming back which without the other half would have not been so. Quite amazing from the outside looking in. really weird from the inside looking out. :)
