  • Hard News: Apple Music: Taking a dump on…,

I should point out that I already had my son hooked up on iTunes family sharing and everything just worked perfectly for him.

    This is idiotic.

You know how I said I tidied up and deleted all my old playlists to impose some order and try and make my library usable on my phone?

I turned iCloud Music Library off then on again so it would re-scan and went to bed, figuring I’d let it upload my gigabytes of unmatched tracks to see if that solved things.

I got to this morning to discovered that it had reverted all my changes and put all the old playlists back.

    Fucksake.

I deleted, consolidated and tidied up most of my playlists (including all the duplicates Apple Music spewed in), turned on iCloud Music Library on my phone – and it’s still showing the old mess.

Re-scanning my desktop library, again. This shit really is still broken.

I'm thinking the only way to get a consistent experience across my devices is if I take the axe to my many old playlists in desktop iTunes and then switch iCloud Music Library back on on my phone. Hopefully then it'll be manageable.

It is perhaps telling that his Centre for Resource Management Studies website has been taken over by moonbat Muriel Newman.

In New Zealand the vaunted Cullen surplus run in the first decade of the 21st century occurred in the boom period, ending immediately after the GFC took hold. It’s manifestly clear that, post-GFC, we are nowhere near the domestic or international stability which produced those past results.

But it is also true that in paying down net government debt to around zero – and launching a remarkably successful superannuation fund – Cullen left New Zealand better set to weather the GFC than most other developed countries. Voters are entitled to like that kind of stewardship.

Unfortunately, Labour frittered away the chance to campaign on stewardship by giving the impression it had lost the ability to do it.

Yeah, I'm getting all that. Particularly loving Beats1 – Elton John's Rocket Hour show today was brilliant.

But there are still quite a few bugs and I still can't work out a reasonable way to use my iPhone for playlists etc. It's frustrating.

And that sums him up – passionate about his beliefs and enthusiasms, even though I personally found them wrongheaded (and embarrassing because of people who did think we were related). You could not accuse him of not caring about our community.

He was an intriguing character. But I found him harder to deal with as he became more of a fringe ideologue. His Waterview commentary – where he was openly disdainful of the residents – was really out of order.

Tatjna re-reads the NZ Expert Advisory Committee on Drugs' advice to the Minister of Health on MDMA.

The way I read this, it says
    - we don't know the public health impact but it's likely to be low
    - it's unlikely to cause death
    - the jury's still out on whether it has any therapeutic value, but that's only because researchers aren't allowed to research it
    - risk of dependence is confined to a small group of users and appears temporary
    - everyone else is treating it as though it's harmful.

Thus, we conclude that it should be Class B1 - that is, a high risk of harm with the highest penalties available in the second Schedule.

(and to be honest, a cycle path to devonport from the city would be amazing).

That's actually looking fairly likely as a result of the Skypath decision.
