Yes, that is brilliant - I hope it encourages journalists to pull up their socks and keep going even stronger - there is plenty of time yet for sunlight to have a devastating effect on this election.

Good to hear that 'stuff is being done' - it's vital that journalists keep pushing and get some of the results they failed to before the election - admissions, resignations, by-elections, guilty verdicts! … especially now they're clued up and armed with all this excellent analysis.

Brilliant - but I'm perturbed that nobody has outed the real enemy here, "the game":-
"The Gallery congratulates “good political management” (aka spin) as if getting away with shit was a virtue and getting caught is the sin; ... and that to be shocked or disgusted by the systemic assholery is to be naive.
The Gallery’s reporting has contributed to a culture where “political engagement” means to cynically understand “the game”. Can we be surprised then, that ... anything and everything is all just part of the game?"
That wonderful 'character forming' game, so often referenced during the campaign:- rugby; where getting caught is the only sin. (Right; not a fan) -

The first clear chance for years to differentiate themselves, to renounce austerity and commit to a genuine Labour manifesto, sod the Mail, renationalise, reunionise, tax the rich, protect the poor, FIGHT FOR THE WORKING CLASS WHICH IS TECHNICALLY THEIR FUCKING PURPOSE and all they can offer is the Vegetarian Option.
V funny; and brings me to a query - have any of our esteemed journos bothered to speculate about what else was discussed during that intense 7 hours, apart from "the leadership" they're so obsessed with? How might Labour be re-positioning? What policies abandoning/adopting?

The one I can't stand is "I'll take that as a 'yes'!!"

And please - Braunias won't be appearing on Media Take again, will he? Ever?

Hard News: Vision and dumbassery, in reply to
True; and did I really see Simon Wilson accusing Glenn Greenwald of 'disrupting our election'?! Nothing like an informed citizenry for disrupting an election, right? Unbelieveable.

Now I'm confused … I thought XKEYSCORE was the insidious set-up that recorded everybody's every single keystroke … ? Nerd to rescue please.

Russell, re :- 'Harre repeatedly gave the crowd the impression that Assange is ensconced in the Ecuadorian embassy because a US prosecutor wants to get at him, rather than because he refuses to return to Sweden for questioning over two alleged sex offenses.'
… perhaps the fact that the Swedes would neither accede to Assange's request for an assurance that should be go to Sweden , he would not be extradited to the US; nor accept his invitation to question him in London instead, be added to the mix? Wouldn't YOU hear alarm bells?
