The secret destabilising of organisations deemed to be "too far" left, and a risk to the security of the state is incredible. It's the missing voice in our democracy.
Yet ACT, a far-right millionaires fantasy party could be passing law again soon. Centre is skewed.

Little aside: Yesterday a major news website ran a headline for the sad passing of the genius behind “Snapper” with a headline calling him a “Chills” member. These people are great artists in our artistic history and the musical world, how do you fuck that up . Jesus.

They are a party so divorced from popular culture that no one in the party understood the music. That ad music is so ripped off the massive and still incredibly popular hip-hop song “lose yourself” that using it would always be an issue, on many levels.
They are cavalier in their approach to business . The agency that sold it will have changed a certain percentage of the riff to get it usable but it sounds so similar their percentage changes will be well scrutinised by good commercial lawyers. National do not have any understanding of the music business. They don’t wonk hard on business models, they are all ideology.

World class, the guys music was huge, and "Buddy" is a classic rock song that digs into your brain as fast as a Beatles song and as long and enduring as a V.U
classic. Guy had it all, great lyrics, great melody and songs that will never leave your music brain. Big loss. -

National have always paraded themselves as the party of decency, in a sense because conservative N.Z wants decency.
Yet if anything the hacks are a painful document of what many political observers knew to be true. This is still a small country. People talk. The National Party are hated by folk who are purposely excluded by its agenda. The hacks highlight the strategy. It's more about the Left now, its about getting the political arena right , and let's be honest political journalism in this country has been tainted by this, that's a whole other issue.

"Decency" is the word of the day. A fine word, and of course the title of this post.

New Zealand has an enormous conservative population. Labour is too far for many folk. At her height Helen Clark got 41% of the vote.
It’s hard to shift voters right voters left.
