Yeah, speak for oneself there . . . I'm way excited about our election. I have a dream of John Key getting the most votes but not being able to form a government because no-one likes him or his party. Ahhhh . . . I'll just close my eyes and enjoy that for a moment. I'm also looking forward to the frothing right spouting about the country being held to ransom while the Maori Party have their week-long post-election hui to decide who to support. It's going to be great and it's going to last at least 7-10 days I reckon.

They've called Pennsylvania for Obama. Or have we already done that. That's big.

Can't wait for the "anti-smacking" referendum. If I'm honest, I'll have to answer No. However, I disagree intensely with smacking children, the people behind the campaign and the way they have spent money on this stupid, waste of time referendum. GOOOO OBAMA!!!

If NZ First makes 5%, Winston wouldn't hesitate to go with National. He's done it before and would do it again if it meant more power for him personally.

Anyone who wants to complain about MMP has to go through me first! I grew up on North Shore where National could put up a dead dog as their candidate and it would still win the seat. And now I have the joy of living in Rodney with Lockwood Smity. Sigh! So, at least with MMP I get a say with my party vote. Long live MMP. I do, however, agree with the idea that a minority party should have to get 5% or TWO electorate candidates to qualify for their percentage of vote. Strike Peter Dunne, Jim Anderton, Winston, Rodney. Less skew and better representation of what people probably want.
