National are good at getting elected but as soon as they are out people forget them, no one thinks back to the Jim Bolger era as purposeful and the Muldoon era is hated by nearly everyone.

But yes, we need a nice smiley jokey nice faced Labour leader that young and old political journalists can feel some love to , cause it's all about journal love.

  • Hard News: Five further thoughts,

It’s amazing watching the feedback on Labour in the media, a media who probably will never vote for them anyway. Quite confusing.

Apparently they need to stop listening to themselves and listen to the people, yet many of their policies tested very well in polling with the very same people.

They also need to be a strong vocal opposition yet they they are also too rowdy and oppositional.

They need to have some big honest leadership meetings but also not look like they are having them.

They need to become the old Labour Party of the left and also capture the middle ground.

    It’s not fun being a Labour M.P in N.Z

Rob Muldoon won an election with the bamboozle of a rugby tour. Politics is a hard read but too complicated for many. Education is trying to fix this, politics need to be understood as a core programme of our nation.

It’s a game a bit more complicated than that. Also turn out was poor, That’s what they’re saying.

You can’t win by a ton because its a measure of weight. They won with 48% of the vote. 45% and other arrangements , they may have lost. Not a ton.

Everyone gets itchy after a loss.

I’m being told how I should feel rather than actually feeling it.

Do you want to feel poverty. It can be arranged.

Don't come to Auckland. It's a stuffed isthmus. Regions are very important in any nation .

I don't think left or right can feel happy with a million not voting. As you say, how would they vote if engaged. A million people is a lot, the voting drive failed .

And we know those one million people will have issues in the next 3 years and sensible statistical profiling means we know that a significant amount of them will need state laws to be in their favour. However you didn't vote for anything.

Maori, of course have a special interest in the laws because they are a treaty partner who haven’t been partnered to their expectations .That’s probably why we hammer the treaty of waitangi in schools and public institutions. Maori found this place.
