"Why did Constantinople get the works? That's nobody's business but the Turks."
Nice one Stuart - way back on page 1. I get it.
Honestly, how much could it cost to get someone from the US of A to do a bit of rendition on Messrs Watson and Hotchin, waterboard them for a few weeks and, bingo!, all the info you need to send those nasty bastards off to jail. Then we could move on to our friends at Blue Chip. Once the word gets around a bit, they finance company "gurus" might start being a straighter in their accounting.

He's a good man. I would like to see him in his own electorate, wherever that may be.

Phil Twyford is North Shore isn't he?

Thanks a mill Ben. My tweenie will be delighted - been saving for months. Personally, I can't bear the thought of another screen (or two) in the house but have to loosen the reins some time.
That is a way-funky version of RiverDeep by the way. -
Russell, when is Nintendo DSi available in NZ and is it worth the wait? My daughter is dead keen for one.

The word I choose is poignant.

What astounds me with the pokies is that people will feed money into a computer that is programmed to make you lose. There's no chance involved in the long run, it's just fact. Scary. And the longer you play, i.e. when you get addicted, the greater the chance of you losing.

Yes to bees and yay to cicadas. It has been a fantastic summer for cicada song. That together with seagull cries just turn me into a nostalgic jelly - ahhh . . . summer.
Apropos Obama getting tough on banks and bankers. What a load of temporary, public-satisfying bullshit. It will be about one year before they are all back to doing whatever they like and paying themselves whatever they want. That is probably the first thing that will fully recover in the "free market". There will be meetings all over the world of clever bastards saying, "Well, we overcooked that derivatives thing a bit but we nearly had it right. Let's just tweak it up a bit this time around, and by the way, I've had this great idea on what to do with trillion dollar government debt . . ." -
The most amazing things about the Paul Keating interview is that it is long enough to be interesting and isn't constantly interrupted by a host who wants to talk over the top of him and thinks he knows better than the guest. Proper TV. Jon Stewart is fun but the interview is meaningless as it is all about Jon.

Sorry, I never analysed it that closely. I just enjoyed the story and remember her being very curvy, a la Jolie.
