Granted Will, but it was only comparatively recently that Gallaudet elected a Deaf president. There was a massive furore with its Deaf students and staff beforehand, let it be noted. Am I the only one (my partner's niece is Deaf) who'd love something similar to Gallaudet here?

I gritted my teeth, held my nose and read a puff piece by Ian Wishart interviewing Colin Craig for Investigate earlier this year. Anyway, CC stated that he thought public health expenditure should be diverted partially to alternative and complementary "medicine" and "remedies" like chiropractics, homeopathy and also opposes fluoridation. What one would expect, unfortunately :/

Section 250 of the Crimes Act 1961 has this to say on the subject of hacking, denial of service attacks and deliberate computer virus releases… [It] covers deliberate hacking and/or flooding (overwhelming) of phones or networks (with messages or calls) so that the owner cannot use the system.
What does the law say?
1. Everyone is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years who intentionally or recklessly destroys, damages, or alters any computer system if he or she knows or ought to know that danger to life is likely to result.2. everyone is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 7 years who intentionally or recklessly, and without authorization, knowing that he or she is not authorized, or being reckless as to whether or not he or she is authorized, -
a. Damages, deletes, modifies, or otherwise interferes with or impairs any data or software in any computer system; or
b. Causes any data or software in any computer system to be damaged, deleted, modified, or otherwise interfered with or impaired; or
c. Causes any computer system to-
i. Fail; or

I was twenty two. I'd just finished my BA at the University of Canterbury. Bacon slicers, anyone? For me as a gay man, Lange also heralded long-delayed freedom and the passage of the Homosexual Law Reform Act, long overdue. That's one of the more positive legacies of that period. If only Douglas, Prebble ad nauseum hadn't imposed Rogernomics as its economic strategy...

Hmm. While I oppose charter schools outright and don't have much time for the Nats executive teacher proposals, I have to wonder about ranking the Key administration's policy wankery. What about the Health Benefits Limited blue elephant, the Christchurch rebuild bungle, the housing policy nightmare? It seems almost like asking which circle of Dante's Inferno is most convivial.

Methinks I spotteth a Cunning Plan to Nab New Zealand First's core social conservative constituency. Which isn't working very well and couldn't be described as a weasel.
As for CC's 'informed consent' abortion tactic, for 'informed consent' read 'ram graphic and mendacious anti-abortion propaganda down women's throats under the pretence of "counselling" but actually do bugger all in the way of providing meaningful social support if she does choose to continue the pregnancy.
