Despite Craig's claims, there is no way this woman would have had a reasonable expectation that her participation would lead to this kind of humiliating treatment.

If you highlight that:
The comments were sexist and degrading towards women, and designed to invite ridicule towards the guest as a woman, and that the female co-presenter was highly visibly uncomfortable with what he said and tried to stop him on multiple occasions, then I think you've got a good chance.

Oh, and Deborah, I was pretty clear last year that I couldn't understand why both Helen Clark and John Key felt obliged to waste time as straight men to Henry's bizarre monologues. They weren't informative, and generally only entertaining if you were the kind of freak turned on by dog fights.
Quite possibly because there are a fair few people who watch breakfast television? They want to get the message out, even if it means talking to an idiot.
They shouldn't expect to have to suffer from that level of ridicule and sexism.

That clip deserves to be the object of a number of formal complaints to TVNZ. That is some of the most objectionable television I've seen in a long time.
That fucker deserves a roasting.

Assuming the wood comes from trees that would not otherwise have been planted, yes.
If you burn wood and then plant trees, then you'll be carbon positive until the tree has soaked up an equivalent amount of carbon. Like incurring a debt and paying it off.
My advice - plant plenty of trees and you'll be right.

As it is I estimate that two stages of the Tour de France in HD will fill the thing up, not good.
You watch more than two stages of the TdF at once? Each to their own, I suppose. If Sky's TdF comes with Phil Liggett on the commentary, I can understand that being possible.
Anyway, congratulations to the former Prime Minister.
I have no doubt that coming from New Zealand made her job easier. Many people seem to have no idea how New Zealand is viewed internationally, and if they do, they take it for granted. New Zealand is idealised by even smart and well educated people, and there are a good number of misconceptions about how things really are. Environment, peace, that kind of thing.
If understandings were to change, it would be A Bad Thing, and threaten New Zealand's place in the world.

Then there are the LED lights, which last almost forever, and use significantly less over their lifetime than a CFL. While they're expensive (~$50), they're are now are very rapidly decreasing in price, to the point where they're expected to be affordable within 5-10 years.

There are plenty of situations where the market doesn't work and the state steps in. It's not a lefty thing, it's an economics thing.
Well, in highly partisan, or ideologically charged right-wing environments, market failure is something that you'll see Governments comfortable with. Or something that is denied altogether. Witness Gerry Brownlee.
Otherwise, yes, consensus is that market failures should be prevented through legislation.

Business has a lot to gain from efficiency (we all do, of course). It's not just hair shirted hippies endorsing this stuff.

Its becasue a GLS (standard lightbulb) is basically a small heater that happens to give off a bit of light.
Now that the insulation fund has been scrapped,and no higher standards will be put in place, poor and rich New Zealanders (insulation is generally still terrible in most expensive homes) will need all the heating they can get.
Even if their lightbulbs are heating their uninsulated ceilings.

What really gets me going though is plasma TVs. They're a nightmare. Their consumption is extremely high, much more so than CRT, and much much more than LCD TVs, which are slightly more expensive but deliver high picture quality anyway.
The Greens suggested a standard that would effectively exclude them from the market. The same standards that are being applied in the UK, EU, Japan, and California, among other places. The dimwits were oh so glad that the New Zealand Government has no intention to insist that such appliances are efficient.
Cause, y'know, standards are bad, or something, y'know.
