Welshman Mark Watson.
Born in Bristol of Welsh heritage. He does his standup in a Welsh accent, but seems to normally (interviews and whatnot) speak with an English accent.

it seems fine to me.
I just can't see who they're trying to attract. Are people currently purchasing their Louis Vuitton luggage at Three Kings or their Ralph Hotere's at Glenfield Mall?

Errr, what?
The idea of the advertisement, not my idea.
I haven't seen it.
No excuses, Slack. It is here.
Is there an appearance by the big little mayor?
Since he does not embody luxury retail, the creative industries, or the restaurant scene, no.

Shouldn't it be "Little Big City", and not "Big Little City"?
Surely the idea is to promote Auckland as a miniature New York, rather than an oversized Upper Hut.

lol, Stephen.

On watching the interview I am of the opinion that Mason is a good honest man and a good father.
Maybe so. He struck me, so to speak, as a brute.
BTW, did he not, in that interview, admit to kicking his children?

But where is my Madonna reference?
I'd like another pre-Madonna reference.

Keep working on the other puzzle - its a good one, and quite simple once you know the trick.
It is (a good one, I mean), though there is one peice of required information that is possibly impled but not stated. Namely that each guard knows which door he guards.
So, to recap (with apologies to Steve Barnes):
You are in a room with two exits and two guards.
One door leads to freedom the other door leads to death.
Each guard knows which door he guards.
One guard always tells the truth the other always lies. You are allowed one question. What is that question?

Oh FFS, this is ridiculous.
I'll say. There is no legitimate reason to question this conviction. The only reason we're still talking about this is that the pro-smackers just can't bring themselves to admit that they were too stupid to get the full facts before supporting the guy in the first place.

Me too... they were called Freebase or Freebass ?
I think Freebass was something different, though likely some of the same people involved. Freebass had a live tape -- from that upstairs place on Ponsonby Road (?) -- which I played a lot, before the CD, if memory serves.
