S'ok. My wives are tough.
I'll shout you all a nice warm cuppa afterwards, how's that?

Err, not everybody. And this is happening in the better part of town.
I believe that the atom bomb comment was sarcasm, in response to Grant's "just shoot the bastard, you PC pussies" approach to the situation.

As an interesting addition to that, apparently Peter Wells recut this Scoreand transformed it into a homo-erotic film.
I don't know that rugby needs to be recut to make it homoerotic...

If someone calls you bisexal it just means that your breath smells of fish.
One can't help feeling this would interfere somewhat with the acquisition of multiple spouses.

When it got cold during the little ice age the Europeans invented knitting and the Polynesians had the good sense to stop sailing towards New Zealand.
If I beat this guy to death with a history textbook, I have the full support of all here, right?

Yes, they sure are entertaining on fast forward
Never tried that, but I have a feeling Eyebrows in particular would be spectacular.

I hate those TV3 news live cuts to an ASB economist who runs through the important share prices and whatnot at about 6.30. This is an advert! If economic news is important enough to be on the news, can the damn TV stations hire a reporter to do the job?
While I agree in principle, the poor bastards they make stay behind to read out the economic data have provided our household with hours (or five minutes a night, anyway) of entertainment. Ears, Eyebrows, Teleprompter Guy, and Terrified Guy may be advertising, but in a generally dull and uninspiring hour of news, their various quirks give me something to look forward to. I would miss them greatly if they went.

The good news, is that they are all still alive.
Not just alive, but mostly fully recovered.
I'm actually slightly more worried about being in Christchurch, seeing as it took so long for the passengers from that plane who came here to be tracked down. The UC students and professors on the flight decided to stay home anyway, but...
On the other hand, seeing as this strain seems to be so mild, it might be better to get it now than a later, possibly more virulent strain.

Let's give a friendly wave to the coming apocalypse & call it Pirate Flu.
The ninjas might object.

Is that true. This may be UL but I did hear that one side effect of banning smoking on planes was that the airlines now hardly do any filtering and that this in turn makes it easier for infections to spread (that said, I'd rather catch flu than sit in a smoky cabin for 12 hours).
Any corroboration for rumour?
Air New Zealand were quoted in the paper yesterday saying their filtering killed 99.5% of microbes in the air. Make of that what you will.
