Wow, Alan Grayson sure gets around. And so creepy!
I didn't even twig that Grayson was the chart-man. I thought I was threadjacking. Accidental win.

So, we just got $9 billion in a currency swap from the Federal Reserve. Interesting.
Key part at 2.30

What about adding a verb? I talk about the boys and girls that make me (adjective or verb)?

Oh come on. We all know that male bisexuals do not exist. They're magical creatures, like unicorns. That's why they're not on television, right?

Cycling should be a normal mode of transport, not a cultish fashion parade at high speed.
Agreed. These people think so too. There's a policy oriented version by the same guy, but the emphasis on people who wear normal clothing is incredibly important.

And Keith Lockes bill to give us a referendum on whether to become a republic has been drawn from the members ballot.
I'd hope it will get past first reading, but I'd be surprised if it passed into law.

New Zealand football's problem is that we're in the Oceania pool. It needs to be abolished and merged into Asia. It would hurt the smaller federations, but I'm not sure that the current situation is in any way sustainable. It's bound to happen some time in the next decade.
Another thing to note. This is the Mens World Cup. Not "the World Cup". There are two. Most commentators reliably fail this. We're a long long way from equality in sports.

And here is another piece of hysterical publishing. Suicide linked to new ACC rule
I think that the headline is a problem there, but that the article isn't bad, actually. Counseling can be incredibly important for the continued mental survival of abuse and rape victims. Counseling can help you keep from sliding into a very dark place.
And the website you link to is sick. I suggest you reconsider, strongly.

If Heisenberg doesn't suggest there are limits to what can be observed, than I don't know what does.
We are only starting to explore the limits of what can be observed, as this amazing image suggests.
I'm a strong physical determinist, but would hate to suggest that we'll ever understand the world completely. We certainly don't at the moment. All of which is to say that science (which is a method, not a set of facts*) works best when it is humble.
*This distinction is very important, and cannot be stated enough.
