Finally, Entourage! I've been raving about this show since we got the first series on DVD last year. If yuo get hooked, both season one and two are already out locally on DVD. Bonus feature on season two DVD - meet the real entourage, Mark Wahlbergs mates, including Mark W interviewing Kevin Dillon, who is sitting next to the real Johnny Drama. Worth every cent. If you like the rooftop golf the boys indulge in, go check out their HBO website, and play the game online...

Those poor retirees living in Quay St, complaining on the tv news last night over the loss of their view, the disruption, the noise... GET OVER IT.
I remember when their apartments were going up - folk I knew living in apartments on Anzac Ave were unimpressed to be losing their views, for an ugly architectural eyesore. If you choose to move into the city, expect one constant - change. I look out our apartment window and see 5 cranes working in central Auckland, on different sites. If you retire and want somewhere that won't change, try Orewa.
Imagine is someone had the vision to do something with the former railway yards down by the old railway station, instead of flogging that land off for new ghetto apartments. That would have been the ideal site for a large stadium.

I am sick and tired of the media turning the waterfront Vs Eden park story into some sort of conflict, rather than doing some solid work on this issue - especially the string of worthless, highly unscientific polls. The media spend money on gauging the nation's political pulse, yet they can't do the same for the future of our biggest city's waterfront?
Give me some real research, not these popularity contests... its not nz idol, its our future we're talking about here!

TVNZ announced its lineup for next year on wednesday, with the return of Dancing with the Stars, but no mention of NZ Idol. hardly surprising, given the latest winner didn't even have an album deal! Matt Somebody was on the tv news on monday night saying this time next year, he hoped to be making his second album, if he can get that first album out, pending on the success of the single. Least he got some money...
