My niece has some great shots of my great-nephew swimming underwater, taken with a disposable waterproof camera. Young fella having a FANTASTIC time. :-)

Re: water safety: I had an Irish flatmate who went swimming at Scarborough without realising it can be dangerous. She asked why, and I said, because of the rip. She didn't know what a rip was, so I had to explain. And then I explained how to escape one.
I got the distinct sense she thought I was making a fuss about nothing.
