I appears that we don't have the brightest wildlife either.

That smell occurs naturally - it's caused by the smug cloud that develops around all Prius-type vehicles.
Actually I'm pretty sure they spray it in from an aerosol or something during the annual service.

I had a mate who had an early generation Prius back in 2004 who reckoned it was bloody murder in supermarket carparks, because at low speeds the electric engine is very stealth, and people kept stepping out in front of him without looking.
Which is why you become very vigilant for such and very courteous with giving right-of-way as a Prius driver (or should, can't really speak for anyone but myself, been driving one for a similar period).
More of a problem is the bloody great blind spots to the left & right rear, exactly where a vehicle in the parking row behind might be pulling out. Had a couple of close calls.

Optional below 60k, as of the last budget.

Surely in this instance we must decide if they've left the House(Country) in a better state than they found it in?

Where do I get one of these? I'd like to buy in bulk, please.

Although I support the decriminalisation/legalisation of cannabis, being around people smoking the stuff brings on a very rapid migraine. For this very selfish reason I'm wary of any moves which would increase it's presence in public spaces, or even make use at the private parties I attend more conspicuous.
Dodging the filthy smokers (of which my social group seems to have a proliferation at the moment) may have worse long term health outcomes, but at least a strong breeze from the wrong direction doesn't mean I have to abandon the event :-/
Of course my tolerance of cigarettes may only be due to growing up with a smoking father. (He recently gave up after a lifetime, and during a very stressful period which included my brother breaking his neck, and we're all very proud of him).

At the beginning of the century I met a young lady, pursued her, won her and then as it became obvious I wasn't the right one for her reluctantly let her go. We remained good friends.
A few years later she met the right man, and early last year I was proud to attend their wedding. They were inseparable, you couldn't mention one without also mentioning the other.
In 10 days time, between Xmas and New Year, less than a week before her birthday, it will be the anniversary of their deaths in a horrific motorcycle smash.
RIP K, always in my heart.

So I take from
“Kiwi entrepreneurship” – yes, “kiwi
innovation” – noWe're really good at striking out on our own, just not so good at doing something no-one else has done before? Which is presumably tied to the fact that our tiny domestic market makes it really hard to get traction with a new idea.
But I can't tell if this is counting 'successful' innovation only or including new-venture failures.
