I’m not saying I entirely agree, or that I think it’s enough,
That’s my headspace. Plus WINZ and work? They are not helpful. Not that I think that everyone needs to work. some people are not cut out to or don’t wat to and who am I to disagree with that?

It’s be a real pity if you felt you couldn’t comment for awhile for having your tone misunderstood.
It happens all the time on PAS. Ben seemed fine to me too. So many of us lived in parts of Australia and got different things from it, (for me ,to remember anything other than partying is a delight) . One thing I did get was Australians and Kiwis are quite different and terms like "wonk" or "mate" may have completely different meanings to each countryman. I am not sure, but I suspect "wonk" does. Plus as Phil has many years experience as journalist, words could be important to him whereas I would dispute that with some of our journos over here.
Obviously Ben upset Phil. Obviously knowing Ben, I don't think he set out to, challenged though can invite opinion over fact and if the lines get blurred it shouldn't be such a big deal, however.... happens here all the time. Pas responses can be the silent treatment or the arguing one sided treatment and one has to be pretty thick skinned to hang around. That is why I think some have walked away. It is tiring to be constantly told you are wrong when I hoped everyone could have their own opinion no matter how stupid others think it is. -

It’s not like Cantabrians are overly thrilled about the EDFZ’s continued existence, either.
So I hope they are complaining to someone like... Cosgrove, Dyson, Cunliffe, Robertson, Jones, Sage, Norman etc, etc. I've mentioned it. A barrage (geddit ;) could help.

Perhaps because they know National are vulnerable on issues and they want to personalise the campaign as much as possible?
Then, photo ops with Wills Katie and George, double plus good whilst discussion of shafting the Union jack didn't sit quite so pretty. I suspect we will see lots of this sort of distraction, mimicking what gave Key rise last Election, especially if ,as suggested further up, his lot are getting tired of him.

Lastly, given that it’s the only thing I’m likely to be able to influence this election, I’d like to throw my support behing a green fern on a white flag, rather than the silver fern on a black flag.
Thanks for the beginnings of the defeatism Brigade. I would have thought now would be a good time to believe your vote does actually count and that we are worth something other than a smile as he waves.

It's not this Election, it's after the Election.
And the thought of white flag over a blag flag? Are we Pirates or just surrendering ?
The Flag would be a National redherring and now that it's after, at least we can actually concentrate on the issues leading up to the Election and the appalling record of what we have been served since the last one. -
