Craig, I thinking you're over-reading my comment if you think I was being offensive. It was an honest view of how the US (and a lot others) use the label...
To suggest I was trying to question his "colouredness" or anything to do with apartheid is the offensive piece mate. -

Black is pretty definitional in the US. They don't really do half/half. He's certainly got about the best claim I've ever heard to the term "African/American"though! -

Probably "Schadenfreudenschulde" would be more accurate.
I have no idea about accuracy but it sure would be more awesome!
Personally I think it should be Schadenfredensnoodle but that may offend "the purists"
