Tonight I remembered my most basic kitchenhack of all; so obvious round here that I forgot it. A decent frying pan is the cornerstone of our kitchen: heavy base, large, stainless steel with a metal handle and a lid. It can bake everything from cakes to lasagne, cook just about everything on the stove-top, can go on the barbie, logburner.

Kale is oddly sweet when it is juiced with other veges. It's a superfood too.

I can imagine them doing the 'Your Love Alone is Not Enough" song at the Pallet Pavilion in Christchurch. Or anything there. During a market. With Ian D's stall of course. A rollicking, bollocking hoot it would be.

Also. Matthew Hooten has backed Cosgrove. So… that happened

If no rise make the dough paper thin and brush with oil (does create a need for large amounts of topping though). cook very very hot.

The Party would do better by not trying to finesse an outcome and parachute in a candidate to remedy a perceived "strategic" representative deficiency, such as a particular demographic
The Labour hierarchy would be surprised at the hammering they would get in East if they tried that approach. Might not lose the seat this time but it would be possible next year.

Cool; it's more filthy and wet now here too. MetService reckons more snow flurries tonight and a sustained burst from early tomorrow morning till about midday on the flat in town.
