And unfortunately it hasn’t swayed Tony Abbott one bit, and probably never will.
Possibly not, no. But he is a buffoon (it'd be interesting to see what he'd do if the Pope stated a clear view given his strong Catholic beliefs).

Hard News: Climate, money and risk, in reply to
Has Rodney Hide ever visited Australia lately? Temps reaching close to 50 celsius in parts, 3-minute showers and all that.
Belatedly.
Quite.
2013 was the hottest year on record in Australia and all but one of the last ten years was 0.50 degrees C above average. More here.

Hard News: The judge is not helping, in reply to
In the absence of any other judicial decisions on the subject, it will be the definitive case law on the matter.
Will it be quite so definitive? Have we seen the construction of the appeal? I'd hope that the High Court would avoid making a broad judgment given the facts as I understand them.

Legal Beagle: John Banks: what next?, in reply to
If we get this sort of prompt investigation of all electoral law allegations, we can be rather pleased.
Fair enough, I hadn't followed it closely enough, however doesn't the outcome of the private prosecution indicate the determination of the Police investigation was incorrect even if they examined the matter fully.
